For those there last time, remember the lessons learned.
For those here since last time, get ready to carry the torch when the time comes.

in a month everyone will be WISHING they bought in dec 2017 at 20k

this ecosystem requires sacrifice. Every high comes with people that exit, and therefore people that will hold until the next top.
We need heroes willing to hold and 'accumulate' etc.

look around at all the people saying it's different this time etc.
we need a fucking trillion USD to get this space to double and yet people are pretending like this is some fucking magical asset class that acts less like gold and more like tulips the higher it gets

>>24085455
People were speculating BTC would reach 25k-100k it's hard to predict the actual top.

We're still in 2016. Next year will be 2017 vibes

Bitcoin's dominance is ~66%, market cap of crypto in general is like 200-300 billion lower than BTC peak in 2017/18, and we have like twice as many cryptos now as we did then.
The idea was for crypto space to CONVERGE INTO bitcoin, not for another fucking oversaturated landscape built on a lower fucking MC.
lmfao, idk where bitcoin gunna top this time but the space overall is nowhere near as healthy.

It doesn't actually work like that at all. Market cap is flawed because if someone market sold 10k btc on 1 exchange, they could crash it to below 2k USD. BTC isn't actually WORTH that much, just like someone could easily pump BTC to 100k on 1 exchange by buying 100 million in 1 buy. It all comes down to liquidity.

>> No.24085797

>>24085715
I think we're getting carried away with the specifics a bit i meant to say we need a lot of money to pour in to do fairly marginal gains given the risks.
Also the exchanges wouldn't allow for arbitrage so you could pump it on shitcoin.io.exchange but it wouldn't really mean anything.

I guess but don't they fear the repetition of what happened last time?
>but much institutions are buying
well we had market bubbles and crashes they tend to fomo in and dump too just think about the dot-com bubble

The winners have been chosen by PayPal. If anything else is going to moon, it's already in the top 20. It's later than you think.

That's fair, I agree the space is unhealthy. It feels like we're walking on eggshells desu. If the bullrun cycle does happen, I think a very conservative estimate is 50k, 100k is possible, anything above that I can't say.

>> No.24086133

This is true of any appreciating asset.
>>24085455
There is no top. Everything of value given enough time will be worth more than whatever the local top was. The people who buy regardless of price, but buy the right assets, are those with intelligence. I don't think most normies who bought BTC at 20k understood what they were buying, but anyone who DID understand and bought at 20k I think did a smart thing. There are no rules here, and it could have just as easily gone to 100k from there.

You don’t need a trillion dollars to increase market cap a trillion. The market cap is the current price times circulating supply.

I could give each of you a btc to fuck off rn and it would literally cost me 450 USD a piece and yet i'm still lurking this board because i'm addicted to this f***ing Estonian rock climbing forum.
