If all the sudden it hits 100k and the holders don't want to sell it because they know it will keep going up aka inflationary.
Then all the normies realize that, and start buying. what happens to bitcoin?
At some point I'm pretty sure it will happen.. No one will sell their bitcoin because there's no meaning in doing so..

Could this be the fabled Golden Bull Run?

In 1876 economists and mathematicians theorised the existence of a economic-ecosystem that had reached a form of transcendence - creating an endless positive feedback loop. They proposed that such a system entering this state would begin what they called the Golden Bull Run. Various mathematical models were created to show what this Golden Bull Run would look like.

Through my PhD research I believe cryptocurrency may be entering the early stages of a Golden Bull Run. In this stage early investors could potentially earn an endless supply of wealth - as the system generates tangible wealth rather than just moving it around.

Economists believed that the slow nature of the stock market meant that harmful players could sabotage the emergence of the Golden Bull Run before it could get started. However it looks like the extremely fast paced nature of cryptocurrency means it is not susceptible to these types of attacks.

If I am right we could see something never before experienced in the history of the universe. Hold on while you can - takeoff is imminent.

interesting so this is what they call of golden bull run? Infinite positive feedback.
You said that cryptocurrency have the potential which ones you're referring to? I'm exclusively on bitcoin, what do you think?

That's not what inflationary means. Inflationary means the currency supply increases, not the value.

He's not wrong. In a mathematical sense it is inflationary, in an economic sense you are right of course.

In this scenario, bitcoin will be used as a title, instead of a currency or store of value.
How many bitcoins you have will define your place in a bitcoin citadel. Everything will be free: food, gas, power, and a roof. Services will be provided by robots, which will be feed by bitcoin's computations in a L3 infrastructure.

The game theory changed even at the peak of the two previous bullrun the rational choice was to move to fiat due to inflation
On the last one at 3.80% inflation you has about 12% loses from inflation alone until next halving and only 6% on fiat.
Now you have more loses moving to fiat so the game theory is different.

There is a conspiracy theory which says that bitcoin is actually feeding an AI with its calculations.
Supposing its true, this AI could very well power up the future bitcoin citadels. The electrical energy being consumed is huge, and PoS shows us its possible to have a ledger without power consumption.

yes, you will only lose $100 if it tanks.

However, its 2020 not 2017. Things are different; there is more adoption with financial institutions.

You all need to realize that the crash of 2017 was because of mainstream adoption not because institutions pulled out.

This run is different. It will hit $20k without causing a blip on the radar. Why, do you think?

Here's what people aren't getting..

What are you going to sell it for?

Fiat? The QE just dumped the price of fiat by 20%. If you look up true inflation, you are now going to see twice that; meaning you're going to see your fiat lose purchasing power of 15% a year conservatively. It's like, so you're going to sell your Bitcoin for a stock that goes down 15% a year?

Gold? When JPMorgan just released metrics and charts showing that money is being bled out of gold ETF's and into Grayscale?

Stocks? At an ATH during a recession?

Bonds? Hahahaha well obviously not bonds, and it's likely they will go negative(!).

Real estate? At an ATH? Okay, maybe if you can afford it.

Or Bitcoin, the only programmable, borderless, trustless asset that will not only supersede gold as a store of value but will blow it away as it is superior in all ways and in those that we haven't even thought about yet? When Bitcoin has a market cap that is insignificant relative to gold? Everything is digitizing on a parabola. Bitcoin will see parabolic growth as Millenials (who only now hold 5% of the wealth) are transferred the wealth of the boomers. This will be the greatest wealth transfer in history. Institutions know this and the clever ones are acting now. You haven't seen nothing yet.

I didn't know someone else knew about that fable, this is pretty much crazy

I came across that theory too during some history research I was doing in the Paris' national library called the BNF

The Golden Bull Run has its origins in the Golden Bull, an economic treaty signed by the Byzantine Emperors over the centuries.

A local humanist reports in an Alsatian Almanac of 1676 that the underlying idea behind these treaties was to transcend and balance the economy despite the countless quarrels to which it was subjected, including the recurrent treachery of the Byzantine generals.

The end of this text unfortunately proves to be particularly damaged, I couldn't read and understand the rest of it, apart from the alchemical evocation of a flying golden bull that would deliver humanity.

The question I ask myself is how exactly did you come across this same fable? The probability that we're not talking about the same thing seems to me infinitesimal.

Phoenicians burned children inside golden bull statues as sacrifices to the lord of trade. The ritual became purely symbolic under Rome and over time developed into among other thing the modern piggy bank, a hollow animal figure the bankers use to capture the souls of children to enslave them in the service of the bull god or Ba'al.
