eRSDL always has me split. It's a fantastic idea, the transaction cost and speed of crypto is exactly what this legacy banking problem needs. The team has the connections, and a great solution to a huge problem.

On the other hand, they are COMPLETE amateurs and are absolutely fucking terrible at marketing. Their new website is riddled with spelling errors. So the question is, can Howard's connections and "great idea" get enough banks to sign on to make this a trip to the moon, or will they trip over their own garbage marketing?

I’d argue this is actually a net positive, at least in the long run. Howard is a prime example of the kind of investor that eRSDL should want to attract- sophisticated lenders who understand the consumer loan industry (and its various issues), but have yet to make the next step into crypto. Most boomers would be put off if they’re being shilled a token by a speccy teenager who can only communicate his ideas in convoluted technospeak, but they’d be much more sympathetic to someone their age, who can condense complex ideas into convincing pitches and solves issues that actually concern boomer lenders.

I think you’re also overlooking Ryan’s regulatory and compliance background, which is another feather in their cap in attracting institutions to the project.

Yeah, the marketing is definitely the weakest link in the project rn. /biz/ has definitely contributed a lot of organic interest through memes and co-ordinated fud campaigns, but we evidently aren’t the clients that eRSDL needs to attract if we want to see sustainable growth from this. Even if his marketing game isn’t strong, I’d argue that the target market for eRSDL would be far better convinced by Howard’s pitch and the potential problems it can solve then any flashy marketing campaigns. Plus, we’re still so early, there’s plenty of time to address the shortcomings before it really takes off. The fact that the only issue people have at present is the marketing just shows you how legit the product and team actually are
