I'm in the same boat, but I'm out of stacklet phase officially, and up into pirate territory. 1: Europe has lots of gold as well
2: USA may/may not have a lot of gold depending on whats actually in the unaudited vaults (personally I do NOT think they sold all the gold they have hoarded/captured)
3: north American countries have most of the silver, which will make up for any gold deficiencies
