I think Sergey is somewhat of an idealist. He sees smart contracts as something of a true neutral force in the world that levels the playing field so to speak, in ways we never thought possible. They're neither good or bad, but incredibly powerful.
Sergey is also pragmatic and understands that the finance industry is the place with the resources and use-cases necessary to kick start his idea.
