Hello people!
I am a med student, and know fuck all about finances. I can save, but i dont know how to amass money except by working part-time-jobs. Is there a sticky like in /fit/ which teaches the basics of /biz/ philosophy?

also med student here, I know a lot about trading and yet I lose, forget it trading is a stupid meme and only a waste of time.
A good trader makes the same as someone who just holds and an excellent trader (40hrs+ per week of research and lots of stress etc) makes a marginal profit, only worth with huge amounts of money.
There's no way you can beat the bots. All you need to do to make money is drop seed money on good project like some other anon mentioned. And buying dips and selling at a profit, that's all you need to know, be patient and good luck.

PS: Forget trading , no student has time for that, it's like picking an other career, it's like telling your mom you wanna be a rockstar now, don't be retarded.

It can potentially go much higher this cycle, up to $50000 imo.
What I'd buy now is ETH, it's undervalued compared to BTC. Last time BTC was this price ETH was at $1400, now it's at $475 and it's gonna shoot up very soon.

Also this guy gets it >>24056912

Don't trust anybody who shills anything other than BTC, ETH or LINK.
Exchanges: Coinbase or Binance.
As other anons said, it is much safer to hold than to trade. Most traders lose money.
You are lucky, because we're on a brink of a giant 2017-like bull run (at least the majority people in crypto thinks so). If you just buy safe major coins (BTC, ETH, LINK in any combination) you will be in a much better position a year from now.
Don't panic during the dips, and better not to visit /biz/ until prices rebound from drops. There's a lot of shitposting here, some anons will try to make you sell your position for fun.
Only invest what you can afford to lose

Yea you will most certainly get burnt eventually. I too was a dumbass when I firt bought LINK at $1.20 during mainnet, and I was a dumbass. Granted the only reason I bought it at that price was because I was waiting on banking institutions and their shitty 3-7 business day transfer policies. Which funny enough was another reason that sold me on crypto. I can transfer (by myself) tens of thousands of dollars within seconds. If I was to take a guess you'll probably have an opportunity to buy BTC around $15-17k again within the next few weeks. But chances are that will be the lowest you'll ever see a single bitcoin again, and I'm saying this as a person that doesn't actually own any BTC right now, I am all in crypto however. Being in crypto is an uphill battle. Most of the population either thinks it's a scam and if you ask the average person anything about it will just mention something about bitcoin in 2016 or won't know anything past that. Even the most tech literate people I talk to only have surface level knowledge and don't even know the basics like the 21 million btc limit or that it's divisible to 18 decimal places.

I guess the point is to only trust your own judgement. Even here on /biz/ you'll have people (like me) that pretend to hold other coins and convince people to buy scams because it's funny, or will spread false rumors to keep newfags from buying. Think of it as a sort of hazing ritual exclusive to this board. The pajeet scammers are just icing on the cake. /biz/ is useful for getting leads on market sentiment, finding subjects to research, and most importantly business related shitposting. Pic related

Keep track of spending. Don't buy anything unless you can buy 5. Write down every single purchase you make in a notebook. This will help you cut back. If you're one of the retards who eats out once or twice daily it will make you realize how stupid this is. Buy coffee beans and make your own cold brew or coffee instead of going to starcucks. Make your dinner instead of eating out. Skip happy hour with the soijacks. These things will all lead to improved mental well-being as well. Since I stopped consooming the alcohol jew my life has improved immensely as well as my wallet.
