Chainlink is an erc-677 token. It has additional functionality from most tokens which are erc-20. The team worked with ethereum developers specifically to develop this specification for link.
I think Chainlink is going to be absolutely huge but I also think we have a long road ahead of us. I’ll be surprised if we don’t easily surpass $40 next year.

The comment about holding BTC in TEEs that can execute payments through multiple oracle multi-sigs (without the nodes seeing the transaction) makes me think that future generations of darq net muhkets are going to have incredibly private and secure value exchange.

I think it will be higher. I’m being conservative because I’m burned out from hearing 1k eoy the past three years.
Link will be bigger than Eth, it just doesn’t have the narrative on its side right now. There will be lots of smart contract platforms but only one dominant oracle network.

no explanation of how the protocol filters oracles. Oh wait, it is because it is centralized through Chainstink the company. This is as far from bitcoin's core philosophy as possible.

Chainlink isn't the industry standard, price oracles are memes because markets are their own oracles, and the only reason LINK has a $5b valuation is schizo boomers on twitter who project whatever properties they want onto Sergey and Chainlink, who they worship like gods.
Whatever happens, they buy LINK. "Chainlink is going to verify the US election, Chainlink is going to make sergey nazarov the richest man alive when LINK is $100, Chainlink is going to flip ETH/BTC, Sergey isn't dumping tokens he's actually secretly burning them, etc etc etc."
