I found that once I could mentally structure out my entire monday-friday, I could just go on autopilot until it was over. It helps a lot. Takes you about a year to get there, though.

It helps to take as many shits at work as possible. As I type this right now I'm already on my second shit of the day and it's not even 11 am yet. I aim to get 3 daily shits and average 10-15 minutes a shit. It doesn't seem like much at first but when you do the math you realize you can get paid for 3.75 hours worth of shitting a week; that's 195 hours, or roughly 8 entire days of paid shitting a year. A diet high in fiber and eating a lot of spicy food and drinking a bunch of black coffee really helps.
