I know this board is poison for trying to get real recommendations and everyone wants to shill you their bags, but if you're serious about investing in low cap crypto to diversify from PMs, Kleros is a decentralised consensus aggregator (think online juries) which works right now and is very undervalued for what it is, because nobody has heard of it. Even without crypto hype, the possibilities it opens up with creating trust in cross-jurisdiction transactions (like buying shit from alibaba/etsy/wish) is quite revolutionary.

Not specifically PMG related but a buddy just came back from drilling near the lost city of Cassiar. That regions gold country but Cassiar was an asbestos town, until it vanished in 1993. Heres a neat 70s era vid from the town. I would love to go visit again, but its too sad to see the state of things now. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cZReMAnky1Q

Cassiar died in 1993 after Cassiar Asbestos failed to break even with an underground conversion to the mine. The entire town and all its people woke up one morning to find their town sold off to the highest bidder and everyone left. It is now only a ghost, a few people still live nearby at Jade City but the happy little town that was Cassiar is no more. I spent two years there from 1991-1992 with family friends working a placer operation on McDame creek.

I unfortunately can't recommend this because it's significantly harder to have any idea about where your investment is going to end up. Highly dependent on auctions or just random people paying the price you list, which is frankly unlikely unless you get a really good deal.
Gemstones are slightly better but not really that good of an investment either.

You're missing the first mover advantage. Everyone in the world besides Brent johnson knows the dollar is overvalued and the only way the us gov can meet obligations is printing. Ignoring his really good analysis on euro bank market values, if a small group of foreigners decide to exit before year end, it's over. And every group is incentivized to be the first people to sell.

Alright pmg frens, time to be real. I don't know when Ivermectin will break into the normiesphere in medicine and get through the gatekeeping by big pharma, so you need to get some now while you can. Watch this:

https://youtu.be/sJP_Spg5v-w

This is one of the doctor's on the group that developed the MATH+ protocol. They are promoting Ivermectin now. It really is a silver bullet here. If you are unable to get a prescription, buy the horse oral paste on Amazon or any other veterinary supply company. Just make sure Ivermectin is the only active ingredient and it's not one of the products that have a drug cocktail. It's safe for administration to humans at home. If you read the Amazon reviews, you'll see it's filled with no people with horses, and instead lots of people with scabies or rosacea with no/bad health insurance. So they buy it this way.

This is just me getting the word out to pmg frens as this wave picks up. Take care of you and yours.

Off topic, but sharing what could be vital information for pmg. The medical establishment is quite beholden to the pharmaceutical industry and they are continuing to push expensive drugs that do nothing, like Remdesivir. Meanwhile, here is Ivermectin with no patent and cheap and easy to make. Thankfully, it's getting used a lot around the world now, but in the US and the West...our people are being made to suffer to help pharmaceutical companies' bottom line.

Drugs just do things. We classify them based on what we understand they are capable of doing. Ivermectin is not an anti-parasitic innately. It is an anti-parasitic, because it's first and primary use that we found for it was in the treatment of parasites. Remember Viagra? They were not developing a boner pill. They were actually developing a medication to treat high blood pressure and realized it also gave people erections. So now it's a boner pill. Ivermectin also has anti-viral properties as well as anti-inflammatory and immuno-modulating properties. Quite astonishingly, this means that Ivermectin has been shown to be effective as a prophylaxis, in the viral phase of Covid, and in the inflammatory phase of Covid.

>Studies revealed that ivermectin as a broad-spectrum drug with high lipid solubility possesses numerous effects on parasites, [1, 3] nematodes, arthropods, flavivirus, mycobacteria, and mammals through a variety of mechanisms. In addition to having antiparasitic and antiviral effects, this drug also causes immunomodulation in the host.

Vaccine news may have an impact, but this is primarily due to deflationary forces/expectations. I jumped out of my miners about a month ago when it was obvious we were not going to get a stimulus before the election, which told me it wasn't going to happen until 2021. I posted about it at the time. Inflationary expectation are completely up to the action/inaction of Congress at this point, and even something as large as the first stimulus will only provide a temporary boost before we find ourselves at this same situation again...and this time it will come more quickly as the stimulus has diminishing returns. MAYBE with this vaccine, they can kick the can a little longer on this long term debt cycle, but I am not optimistic.

But market pricing can be severely impacted by macro trends, and I believe they are deflationary in the short term. But it doesn't really matter what the price is if you can't get it. bitcoin was the ultimate wolf in sheeps clothing. It was a scam/fraud from the get- go, a creature created by the government, yet sold to the public as some revolutionary technology that was created by an incognito "libertarian" dude form his basement.

And with the help of price manipulation (tethers) they made BTC a "legit" investment, yet everybody that is not married blindly to their investment knows that BTC and other crypto have ZERO real world utility.

So not only is it a scam, it is also a primer for the soon to be implemented CBDC monetary system (central bank digital currencies). It blows my mind that all these so called fake libertarian investors in BTC never question the fact that just couple of years after BTC was launched, one after the other major CB started to talk about CBDC. It was PLANNED!

So by pushing the price of BTC up, they are:

Legitimizing crypto currencies, same tech that will be used for CBDC and;

They are diverting capital from gold and silver into crypto. Why do you think all the so called acolytes, media and banks are referring it to "digital-gold", which in itself is such a bullshit statement that my heard hurts. But they are continuesly pushing the gold narrative.

In other words, everybody that is invested in bitcoin is actually helping the government/central banks to legitimize the most horrifc montery system that has ever been created. Because when all money become digital and on the blockchain, its GAME OVER for financial freedom.

Alright it's good that you've a plan. If you need any help analyzing drilling results, mineral resource estimates or the like, or how the industry operates please do ask. I'll gladly help since it's kind of a mess to learn without any directions. Also it's important to analyze the companies' balance sheets so that you don't get into a company that has awful financials. I can help you with that too if you feel like you need help.

When you've got drilling results that say for example "2.59m @ 4.05gpt Au" does that mean that there is 2.59 meters of drilled ore that contains 4.05gpt Au OR does that mean that the average grade is 4.05pgt Au in that 2.59m drill core sample?

There is nothing inherently wrong with MUX, it was just high when shilled at the time. The floods and fires are in the past, and even at $1800-$2000 gold it's profitable. Only issue is debt, and if you believe PMs will be higher in 2021, then that won't last long.

I'd even say it's undervalued at the moment, considering most miners have rebounded from their dips a month ago. But of course I'm biased.

other buyers of the paper. Just like in any equity or contract, someone else needs to be willing to buy it in order for you to cash out. In cases of guaranteed settlement in lieu of delivery the broker pays the settlement, or their underwriters do if they fail.
>And why is the gold needed if there is someone takinng the opposite side?
the paper market and the physical market are both aspects of industrial commodities trade just as much as investment vehicles. So just like if you invest in pork bellies, the pork bellies have to exist- or if you invest in pork belly futures the pork bellies must in practice be delivered under contract at some price to an end user. Investors basically bet on the direction the price will take, but ultimately it's industry that pays that price.

No I think those are only related to gold bars in the possession of the COMEX. I'm not really sure how this stuff works either, shit's complicated and doesn't really have anything to do with me because I don't gamble with futures. That Deso guy explained it better in his autistic rant blog which I still haven't managed to finish reading. He's a bit too afraid about the whole COMEX deal imho but interesting to read nonetheless.

>I'm fortunate enough to be degree educated in mining and I have reading materials for geology so the techincal side isn't very scary!
I'm feeling kind of jealous. What do you do for a living anon, is the profession worth studying?
>I'm more lost on all the broker/investment jargon because its all new to me, last thing I want is to just jump into a trading account and get ass blasted because I didnt understand all the fees and other aspects.
All you really need to look up are the fee structures regarding different exchanges as well as any possible fees regarding your account (BS like activity fees or fees on deposits/withdrawals, avoid those). Also make sure you have a Custody account at Degiro instead of Standard account. If SHTF at Degiro, they can "borrow" your shares if you have a Standard account. With a Custody account the shares you have are all yours, although you won't be able to use derivatives and they'll jew you 3% for any of your dividends so just buy divvies on another platform.
>Also wtf about taxes?? I'm guessing this is country specific but surely I can just not declare anything?
I'm new enough not to know much about taxes either but yeah I guess you could just not declare. But we all pay our taxes here, right? ;)
>Degiro seems to be the frontrunner for now, I was hoping with my intial post to see whats popular here for trading.
Keep asking. You could also go to /smg/ to ask about trading platforms for bongs/euros, they know about that stuff

you guys have seen literally 10 years of anons telling you to buy bitcoin For the same reason to buy metals, you don’t have to go all in but if you’re not in you’re gonna be very sad in 10 years when btc has mooned and your rocks have underperformed by at least 10x
https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2020-11-17/ray-dalio-says-he-might-be-missing-something-about-bitcoin
The institutions are coming and btc has 1/30th the market cap of gold, it already has lower inflation then gold and halves every 4 years . See the smart gold bugs getting exposure to btc, even peter schiff through his son. True scarcity, don’t miss the boat again .

I'm between jobs atm, but I'm angling for an underground position with Scotgold in scotlands first gold mine, I'm very fresh in the industry so this would be my first major role. That said learning about the industry has been fascinating. I just really want to get stuck in now. If this doesn't pan out I'm very tempted to just move to aus and try my luck there, as you may know there's almost sod all proper mining in the UK, the job scene is aimed more at analyst/consultancy types, I just want to get my hands dirty.

If you want I can dig out book titles that were good technical resources while I was learning, if we're lucky they may be free online somewhere.

Good tip, I'll be sure to avoid standard!

Great call on asking /smg/, I don't really venture outside of this general.

Even if I entertain your E-Money Ponzi scheme that Bitcoin will be worth huge sums in the future, it is still volitilite enough that buying it at these highs is a terrible idea. Don't follow the /biz/ mantra of buy high, sell low. People should be buying whatever they deem underpriced, which from every angle all the reasons Bitcoin is up should also apply to Gold, which is currently low if the Bullmarket thesis stands correct.

There is no environment where Bitcoin can go up long term and Gold doesn't, so I'll wait and continue buying miners, waiting for the reversal.

What the fuck did you just fucking say about metals, you crypto cuck? I'll have you know I graduated top of my class in /pmg/ Boating Club, and I've been involved in numerous junk silver purchases, and I have over 300 confirmed ounces. I am trained in the mining sector and I'm the top panner in the entire Canadian jurisdiction. You are nothing to me but just another sheep. I will keep stacking with precision the likes of which has never been seen before on this Earth, mark my fucking words. You think you can get away with shilling that shit to me over the Internet? Think again, fucker. As we speak I am contacting my secret network of mining & macroeconomy insiders across the USA and the price of PM's is going up right now so you better prepare for the hyper-inflation, maggot. The storm that wipes out the pathetic little thing you call your life. You're fucking financially ruined, kid. I can be anywhere, anytime, and I can stack gold and silver in over seven hundred ways, and that's just with my bare hands. Not only am I extensively trained in the glorious art of stacking, but I have access to the entire Sprott mining stock portfolio and I will use it to its full extent to secure my financial stability in the coming bull market, you little shit. If only you could have known what unholy retribution society's rampant debt leveraging was about to bring down upon you, maybe you would have invested in fucking precious metals. But you couldn't, you didn't, and now you're paying the price, you goddamn idiot. The Fed will print money all over you and you will drown in it. You're fucking ruined, kiddo.

It costs about 14k in power to mine one currently not including the cost and maintenance of the equipment, it’s a fixed supply commodity unlike gold and metals they can’t mine 21million and uncover more bitcoin, they can’t open a ton of new mines and dilute the supply of bitcoin because it’s a fixed supply, more miners can and do come online but they compete with each other solving complex equations for a fixed supply of bitcoins per block. I know people will be butthurt here cause they can’t admit they’re not in and they’ll cope and say I don’t care if btc goes to a million I’ll be happy with gold, I hold 1kg of gold and 30kg of silver so more then most and I hold that as my insurance policy but bitcoin has its place also and at 1/30th the market cap of gold and already lower inflation, in 2024 it drops to below 0.9% inflation. The writings on the wall, don’t be stubborn enough to miss out on generational wealth.

>> No.24009522

Ok two scenarios.
>What happens to the annual supply of bitcoin if 99% of miners are turned off?
>What happens to the annual supply of gold if 99% of miners go offline?
Answer. The bitcoin annual supply is static. The difficulty adjusts down. The 1% of miners can generate the same number of bitcoins. The gold's annual supply falls by 99%. So ask yourself, was the energy to mine all past and present bitcoins necessary? Was the energy to mine all past and present gold necessary?
You can thank the autistic NEET DesoGames for figuring that out.

>> No.24009636

>>24009522
how and why would that ever happen, a worldwide energy disaster? that’s all you got now some emp hitting the earth, some literal one in a zillion play that may hurt bitcoin that’s what you’re telling people not to invest, yikes. The higher the price gold goes the more competing miners come online, the more sites are uncovered and the better their technology gets at pulling that gold out of the ground, so miners have permanently cuckd gold. Unlike with bitcoin more miners can come online but they compete with what’s in each block, they cannot simply “find more”. Gold will always have that extra weight on its head as price rises so will inflation as they race to get it out of the ground and dump onto the market. Let’s not even get into how rigged the paper gold market is

>> No.24009715

>>24009636
You're missing the point. You posed that bitcoin has value because it costs alot to mine. It only costs alot to mine because so many miners are online. If I build a factory that would normally cost $1M to build and then set $1B on fire on the front lawn, it doesnt make it a billion dollar factory. Its a million dollar factory with alot of wasted money. Thats bitcoin. a 25 cent digital token with alot of wasted energy
