I think this guy is pretty smart desu i made a quick google search about him a few hours ago and saw that for the past 10 years he's been funding stuff like importing lots of minorities into white areas which acts as a catalyst for political instability. That obviously creates more crime and stuff, he's built up enough of a turbulent conflictive climate now so the obvious next step was to pull his investments from bank stocks and throw them into stuff like PLTR which is going to make Minority Report an actual thing. Idunno but all this tells me is this guy knows how to secure his investments.

There is a concept called "priced in".
All public information is already priced into the current price of the stock.
Only unexpected events can change the price of the stock.
Blizzard stock holders EXPECT good sales, lots of subscriptions. A new dlc hardly should change the price unless it turns out better or WORSE than expected. Then you might even lose money.

IBKR is great, but they have an inactivity fee. If you simply want to hold your stocks, I'd suggest TradeStation Global, they are an introductory broker to IBKR with slightly higher trading fees, but they do not impose any inactivity fees. Plus, once you reach the 100K portfolio level (which is the requirement for an inactivity fee waiver), you can simply transfer your account to IBKR.

Plus, imho, TSG has the better software.

So do you now owe them? Should you feel guilty that you won the genetic lottery? Should we make it so that everyhtin in the world is exactly even? Not only should we not do that, but thermodynamics makes it a physical impossibility. And I realized that no one actually cares about people unless they have nothing. Only poor people preach that happy go-lucky peace and love shit. WHY? Because they have nothing and they want to take it from those who do, it has nothing to do with "the right thing" or "love" it's a grift, a scam, and if you ever give someone a single penny you fell for it.

1) currently i dont have that much money to play around with so i want my current investments to be as much as possible about medium term growth and value. i feel that as more vaccines are released and optimism grows, we will see the QQQ and SPY gap reduce. i could be wrong of course

2) approx a third of my investments are in UK stocks because i feel it's very undervalued and i believe we could see a recovery in stock prices, as investors start pricing in the economic recovery. UK large caps look very juicy right now. furthermore, i believe there will likely be a UK-EU trade deal since the PM has just sacked his more hardline top advisor (this was big political news in the UK but irrelevant for most people here). but i earn £ not $, and if i'm right about this, the announcement of this deal would boost the £ against other currencies including the $. furthermore announcement of more stimulus in the US could make the $ weaker at the same time

this means that AFTER a potential UK-EU trade deal, a stronger £ would make it likely i could re-enter US stock markets at a better exchange rate

Michael Burry aka the autist from the Big Short invested in it around the bottom.
Ryan Cohen aka the founder of Chewy took a ~10% around Summer, which is supposed to be a big deal because he's a good entrepreneur and very picky about his investments.
The former CEO of Nintendo is Reggie Fils-Aimé is on the board of directors.
The short interest has been over 100% for a while so people are betting on a Volkswagon-style infinity short squeeze.
A new console release cycle just started which is bullish for GameStop, the short-selling algorithms were pricing the company at liquidation values. They have enough cash on hand to pay back their debt. Just this past week they announced they were paying off some of their debt early.
The catalysts could be: console sales, share buybacks, tender offers, Cohen taking the company private, etc.
The reality is that the shorts seem very resistant to being squeezed so they either have deep pockets, enough credit to avoid margin calls, hedge by buying calls, average up on every spike, or some combination of the above.

Well the time to bag cheap quality companies is shrinking by the month. Note I said quality, not companies on the verge of chapter 11. So your upside gain is rapidly going out the window. Ex: BAC - It's at 27 now, 52 w high was 34. Your upside is only $7 per share. So unless you toss in a shit pot of money it ain't gonna make you shit so you may as well forget it now. Cruise lines are still a big question mark so your better off on airlines for upside, like DAL. It's at 38 per now. Annalist say it's target price is 54. So 17 per share gain.
