At 2020 I will want to quit my job and start traveling the world for a while.
I would like to have around 1 million in crypto.

At the moment I hold 6,8 BTC value with 85% in ETH.

According to this fellow this would be enough.

about $10 million worth of cryptos at today's prices. In three years they'll probably be worth 10 times less than today.

This fellow doesn't take into account that if Bitcoin ever reached even 10k it would take transactions weeks to go through. Even now I waited for 24 hours for a single confirmation. This is a serious design flaw and will be the end of Bitcoin at some point without some massive revamps to how blockchain works.

It took less then a hour for me yesterday, but might be the fee.

>10k btc might take transaction time to weeks.
Fair point, I expect this will be resolved with the soft/hard fork we will see soon?

he makes an arithmetic mistake, you cant average out compounded values.

For example, suppose I have $100. It goes up 20% on the first day, then down 10% on the second day.

day 1 value:120
day 2 value: 108.
but the average is 20% + (-10%) = 10%.
so by his math I would have 110 (it overstates the value).

Now, if over 7 years (2555 days), bitcoin really did .42% per day, and was $1 7 years ago, it would now be worth 1*(1.042^2555) = 45,000.

basically he mistakes a geometric mean for an arithmetic one.

6,8 BTC will be enough, however, you should really put 90% in BTC and 10% to play around.
