I don’t really object to that one way or the other. The problem is that you get fuck-all for taxation. Despite all our technological advancements there is no guarantee of shelter, food, healthcare, and so on. We should have universal basic income and don’t. And it’s total nonsense that the government needs to raise taxes to find it - the government isn’t financed by taxes, since they’re the ones who print money to begin with (see: MMT). The only point of taxes is what I mentioned earlier (sovereign money) and to control for inflation.
