You guys underestimate how just efficient and masterful the marketplace is.

Well. dfinity's compile target is wasm (Web assembly). Which pretty much any language has the option to compile to. Motoko is just a custom language they have built to make programming on their platform more convenient. You can program on any language if you compile it to wasm. Regardless, Dfinity is still a smart contract platform more akin to ethereum. It is not a decentralized cloud computing platform. It is simply being branded as the Internet Computer. Both are amazing projects with slightly different use cases.
