You see a lot of people posting about making 200k on crypto by betting on shitcoins, but they're either larping or extremely lucky.

For every person making serious money, there are 1,000 gamblers giving them their money.

The best way to invest is to pick a company that is making a profit, has a growing user base and had a founder with a history of success in business. Listen to Warren Buffet or Peter Thiel (who is an investor in Brave) if you're actually interested in getting rich.

Personally I don't even understand half the whitepapers out there, so I can't invest in them. I understand and like Brave, so I can. I don't know when it will pop off, but I'm buying despite FUD because it's the best bet in crypto in my opinion.

Its slightly lower than that, but yes. If the userbase grows another 2.3x there will be less than 35. This doesnt even take i to account ad buys needing millions or billions of BAT. Just keep loading in as the userbase grows. People also talk about the opt in rate like its something they cant drive up easily. Its just a toggle away. Just wait for fomo to set in once people see the wallets that have earned thousands of dollars.

There are also hundreds of thousands of tokens lost forever with the number growing daily. Tons of BAT locked in Cefi/defi. I have hundreds of thousands of BAT locked up in maker CDP's. As defi becomes more popular you will see more and more onchain BAT getting locked in these pools.

Plus theres still the future prospect of themis, BAT for payments, and massive ad purchases sucking up all the liquid BAT. There might be 1.5B tokens circulating, but not all of them are liquid. If i had to take a guess $30m could completely shatter all orderbooks and sell pressure would become non existant.

BAT has some of the highest concentrations of crypto millionaires and early ethereum adopters. I know because im one of them. Nobody would dump $30m liquid in one go because the slippage would be insane. Top wallets are still accumulating. BAT is also a play that needs extremely deep liquidity. You cant unload unless you have insane fomo or real buyers so its a waiting game.

>>23916934
This. Its textbook value investing which is warren buffets strategy. If he were too invest in crypto he would choose BAT above everything else. It looks ripe for opportunity. Rapidly growing userbase, proven team, real revenue, and has plans to scale immensely. Look at brave and twitter comparatively from an ad tech standpoint and you start to see why this could be an extremely lucrative play. At 20.5m users its getting enough traction to soon have a seat at the table. Financial outlets will HAVE to report on it, and it will be one of the few legitimate crypto success stories.

Imagine actually believing this. Do you think its just a coincidence that the biggest talking heads in crypto shit on brave all day? It comes down to ui/ux. Brave is building something people use. Everyone else is building stuff that they think people will use. I've been here a long time, and ive seen it firsthand. Your average normie has trouble buying the right token on coinbase. They are not setting up wallets or collateralized debt positions or pooling their assets in liquidity pools. You will still be calling BAT shit as another 20m users join, and then another, and then you are going to be wondering why BAT is the only crypto they know how to use that they dont think is a scam.

>>23918236
I only deal in BAT. I already ran through defi before and during the phase it was cool. I don't care for making any plays beyond that. Like another poster said there are people making hundreds of thousands of dollars, but for everyone that got lucky theres a disproportionate amount of people who are larpers or who got absolutely rekt. BAT to me has a lower risk profile with the potential of extremely high reward. Why should I care about someone who pulled a 5x on a hyper risky token with a $1,000 portfolio? Im not playing the same game as them. Im following the whales, and sound business principals with hundreds of thousands of dollars at stake. Big money is not buying verasity or nano or whatever the main people in these threads that spread FUD are selling. My only advice to you is trust your own judgement. You can do your own analysis better than some larping loser who spends his days heckling on the sidelines.

2021 should be a huge year for Brave/BAT. Brave reaches profitability, the SKU system, publisher ads, search intent ads, self serve, increased ad granularity, mass media ad campaigns. Hopefully most of all we get viral growth, and scale bigger than what we expected. It took twitter a long time to hit $1B in revenue. If Brave can hit that target by sometime in 2022 you are going to wish you had more than a 10k suicide stack.

If I'm not mistaken that was the old way of doing things before Tom Scott threw a hissy fit on twitter and Brave decided it was best to change tipping. Before you could tip an account that wasn't verified and after a certain number of months if the creator didn't claim them the tokens were returned back to the user. But now in order to tip a creator they have to be verified. And to get verified you actually have to put a block of code in the header of your website to get into the tipping system. So basically they know.

They are axing the ref program, but its just a sign of better things to come. They still have cash to give out, they are just doing it differently. Brave has a large core userbase of early adopters who will still push the browser without a referral incentive. Now the focus is "influencers" and mass media. No more support tickets from people crying about brave being a scam because the person that used their ref link didnt convert. The blog post mentioned that program is not going away, but rather its being changed to fit their needs. I think all of this is a part of a plan for a big release. Things are shaping up for brave to push into the next phase of growth and scale. Things are looking good, strap in lads.

Not to get mushy but it really does mean a lot to me that you tipped man. Anytime someone starts a business (which is what I consider my website to be) there's a lot of doubt if it's going to be received well by the target community, but so far it has been. Every time I mention it on 4chan I get 99% positive responses which is nice validation that it was a good idea. I started this around 2 years ago when I began cataloging memes with the intention of starting the website, and since then its been hundreds of hours of work and thousands of dollars (in server and hosting fee's) to get it where it is now. I've built it up from scratch so its nice to see my fellow anons appreciate it. I got a whole bunch of new BAT memes coming but I'm currently working on an algorithm to parse my backlog of images and compare them to the new ones I've downloaded to make sure I don't have any duplicates. Thus far I've cataloged around 5k images and I have at least 2k more that I need to name and index before I add them.

Maybe one day I'll be on the level of knowyourmeme in terms of hosting the popular 4chan memes. Time will tell though.

Well said. The referral program was a victim of its own success which is good for all of us. Killing it is for the greater good. I think that most anons here don't realize that a form of virtual currency was supposed to be included in the original OSI model for the web. I can't find it at the moment but Alan Kay wanted a currency layer in the framework which just wasn't able to be done at the time. Now with the proliferation of crypto his vision can finally be realized, and Eich is here to deliver on that promise. Most anons here don't realize that Brendan was there during the early days of the web and was instrumental of implementing a lot of the functionality that we take for granted today. Lmfao, brave has the widest distribution of any token and its growing wider and faster by far. Just lol at thinking theres some invisible hand controlling an asset thats traded on a free market, and double lol at thinking its linkies doing it.

Ya my naming system needs works no doubt. I hesitant to relinquish that control because I feel like it opens up a whole other can of worms that I'm not prepared to deal with right now so I guess I'll eat the inefficiency for now and just keep it a one man operation. I actually did that in my last update about two weeks ago. Check out the site in incognito mode, your version might be cached by your browser. The wojak, pepe and reaction meme pages all have popular tags now that filter the memes by popular name like npc, chad, green wojak, pink wojak, etc. See if it works I guess?:

https://www.memeatlas.com/reaction-memes.html
https://www.memeatlas.com/pepe-memes.html
https://www.memeatlas.com/wojak-memes.html

Its just a simple regex html parser but it works for my internal naming convention for the pages. It's all statically hosted right now but I'll probably move to a database in the future if necessary.

To be fair to the janitors they've always been very kind to me with regards to promoting my website on the threads. I try to walk a fine line between shilling and just promoting awareness but for the past year they've let my posts slide. I try not to be obnoxious and spam it though. They've finally opened up the ads again for 4chan so I've been chomping at the bit to get a banner ad up, but there are still a couple roadblocks to the self server stuff. I'm hoping soon though they approve me and I can finally spread memeatlas far and wide across the chinz.

This. Theres already a schizo in this thread throwing a fit that BAT hasnt taken off in three years. Of course it hasnt. Its a 5 year old company. It took google and facebook 7 years to hit their first billion. This is the point where you load up. You dont wait until after the company is turning billions in revenue, you do it now, not three years ago. Imagine selling against the trend despite nothing but extremely positive fundamental growth, and then two years later you are priced out completely. Its one thing to ignore brave, its an entirely different beast to openly FUD it.

Ackshually I want to do a smart contract based ad platform on the site and possibly as an independent service. Basically the smart contract would allow the website to agree to run an ad for a fixed amount of time while the ad space buyer puts up the capital at the beginning of the run for a fixed amount of time. After the fixed amount of time has expired the website gets the money and the ad buyer get's their ad space. I haven't used solidity all that much but that seem's to be the way to do it. Good thing I learned to kode.

>ICO whales holding giga-bags make a coin worthless
Two things
1. Not only is this statement not historically and practically accurate in the realm of crypto outcomes but also
2. Getting fucked by whale sell walls is only likely to happen in the event of rugpulls, one-time exuberance pumps, and other flash in the pan/cyclic scenarios where no one else can liquidate. The success and price point we *hope* BAT achieves one day is to have enduring gains backed up by the most legitimate and useful coin in the whole space.
