Yeah I've been holding it since it was sub-$10 and actually planned on accumulating more since I was expecting it to not move past that range for months. The sudden moon mission is a shock to me; but I HAVE been shilling it here before then and I still have confidence in the position even if I trimmed off some short term profits from the FOMO hype. The thing is - /smg/ has a lot of good plays. I've made a LOT off /smg/ picks they I otherwise would have never found. Positions like NIO, NET, GME, RTX (back in the summer, good swing trading), WKHS(same as RTX), RIDE(back when it was still DPHC @ like $9), and now PLTR. The issue is, you need to do your own research on what's shilled here and you need to get in BEFORE the fucking hype train starts. I always see posts like this while the hype starts dying off - people who say "it wasn't shiller until it mooned" when in actuality it was, people just ignored it because it was the calm before the storm. Anyone who got in GME at $6 when it was still shiller really doesn't give a fuck about the OOOOOs and AAAAAAAs from current price fluctuation cause they're already up and probably skimmed enough profits to cover their entry point already.

I'll throw you a few bones right now:
WKHS is getting a lot of funding lately and is still a sleeper. Disclaimer here is I'm bagholding them, but not at a loss since I got in below $14 and I've been swing trading every time it hits past $25. They tanked only because USPS deal was put on hold until end of year; guess how many months are left in the year and check out the price action on it as of late. When USPS talks come back on the table, I assure you people will start fomoing in as it gallops to $30 range again. Then it'll dump on USPS news even if it's good because of profit takers like me.

tl;dr - don't buy high and sell low, look for good opportunities BEFORE they reach peak "meme" status. If they're shilled here, give them consideration and do research.
