>bird's opening
unpopular opening, yet somewhat bullish and shows the player likely will be playing an overall aggressive game

that said

the worst financial decision i ever made was not buying the real estate meme sooner. at the current rate, there's always goign to be more people. and even then, at least here in burgerland climate change isn't going to affect much except bringing people in further from the coast line which is arguably good for me, thus, boomerhouse always goes up.

gg thanks for playing

second worst was not spending all my student loan money on bitcoin back in the day
>its only worth a dollar
>digital money, wut!? lol

famous last words

...

smartest moves? investing, managing risk, learning by doing, talking with people that are older than me about THEIR mistakes.

So I think just Holding through it and using dips to accumulate is generally the better idea. You never actually know when it's the top. You never actually know when it's the bottom

Buying pic related for $2,100. It smelled like a Chinese tire fire for month, showed up basically soaked in oil which you have to reapply constantly or the skin will crack and tear when you move it, the right tit POPPED after rolling her on it's stomach, when you shoved your dick in it's mouth for some reason the cavity goes UPwards so her nose and eyes bulge out ridiculously so, and in the summer the material deforms like clay and stays that way when it cools off so she had 2 flattened pancake ass cheeks, the joints eventually loosen in 4 months after posing continuously, ANY tiny debris, dust or particles stick to the skin and is a pain to remove and the thing is basically good for under a year unless you're incredibly anal about maintenance.

Used to go with a friend. Cheapest bottles were like $200 for champagne, then could do a 1 hr champagne room for like $400-$800 depending on how much money the girl trys to get out of you. Could get a handjob, blowjob, sex, etc. though its usually not from the hottest girls. My friend used to get a handjob directly in the couch room before a large company bought the club and put in place staff who just watch.

Now I only go when old friends come into town, we just drink champagne on the floor maybe get a couple dances. Mostly just atmosphere for chatting and getting drunk together.

I put 60k in leaf dollars into mortgage pre-payments for my mother's home after realizing how fucked we were if one of us lost our jobs due to a recession. Though I'm grateful now that we owe very little on our mortgage and both myself and my mother still have jobs. But deep down, I could've put that money into BTC, Gold or even a downpayment into a condo and I would've gotten a much better return now too. DCAing was a complete meme since my vanguard etf returns hit rock bottom since March 2020. Now I'm just buying PMs and putting more of my income into BTC in hopes that I would get a much better return. I feel like I've lost 4 years of my life and watched my friends become more wealthier and happier while I'm forced to "live within my means" as the FIRE movement would call it. I'm so out of it right now that I just wished I had spent more time hanging out with some friends and even go on a vacation instead of taking on more hours at work. Tightening that belt helped in a pinch but I feel poorer than I was before. I'm just at a loss and feel drained.

in 2016 purchased through an MLM $10k in BTC. So that went terribly of course.

Same time, I decided to pour $500 into ETH at $12, $14, $17.

Sold most if not all between 2016-2018.

Back in with ETH and BTC but yikes I'm an idiot. Learned a lot from the MLM for sure.

The one that hurts is actually ETH. BTC was already trading at like $432 already.

I've recovered some but yea not I would be fucken retired if I had made better decisions.

Knew corporate life was wage slaving started a clothing business when btc was a couple hundred bucks and spent every nickel and penny on the business(4years) never really turning profit(0 marketing) despite people sending me raving reviews about my product. For $45 you got $100 in value down to the packaging. Asked all my friends for help and they only asked for free shit or to fuck the models. Ended up robbing me when I held a fashion party in the city.

Second fuckup: when I had 2k link a high school friend wanted to go into business together based on my aforementioned "success". We talked about this for over a year and I planned like mad accounting for failures on my part....assuming he was planning and preparing as well. I had considered heavily if I should just stay in the area and get into real estate myself...figured since we've been talking for years since high school he'd be the last person to fuck me over. Idea was to build an app utilizing his network and my business sense, he larped about his tech skills and I fell for it. I quit one of the most interesting jobs I had(managers actually cared about me) left the girls and my friends, drove cross country only to find out he was a druggie who just wanted me to work and him become rich. In vain tried to make the best of the situation. Actually landed an incredibly high paying client due to me busting my ass. Caught wind said friend is into kiddie porn, whole thing went bust. Fell into a deep depression, had to sell my 2k link stack just before it hit the ath(not the $20 one) and I sold all my personal belongings. Been slowly building up a nice stack from rona till now

Moral of the story: Never go into business with friends or family. Ever.

Years ago when I was in college I was researching the economic chaos during the Chinese civil war in the 40s, where they suffered extreme hyperinflation. I wonder how similar that was to your experience.

Nobody saved money, but spent it the moment they got it because prices for food would be readjusted upwards every few hours. Corruption shot up massively as bureaucrats were looking for any source of cash to augment their now worthless pay. The salary for a university professor was less than what a rickshaw driver or street dumpling seller was making. There were general strikes every single day with workers demanding a law requiring employers to increase their wages each month based on inflation, and they got it.

Eventually the government tried to fix it by freezing all salaries and fixing the price of essential goods like food and clothes. But they didn't fix the cost of all raw materials, or subsidize things like fuel and transport to market, so it quickly became more expensive to grow rice than you could legally sell it for. So this created huge shortages and exploded the black market. They quickly abandoned it once food riots broke out.

A major reason for the inflation was the government just printing money to pay for the civil war. In terms of the size of the currency supply, it consisted of 1.4 billion yuan before the war. In early 1947 3.5 trillion, 10 trillion by July. So in 1948 they just said hey let's issue a new currency to stop the inflation and call it the "gold yuan" even though it's not actually gold backed. So they confiscated all old notes, forex, and precious metals. This did jack shit to stop the inflation, but did ruin everyone who had stacked pms.

So how's that compare to you?

PMs=precious metals, gold and silver
Stack=accumulate as much as possible

The Chinese government outlawed possession of foreign currency and precious metals. Because of the extreme inflation there had been a huge demand for these items because it was the most effective way to actually store value. The government seizure of precious metals and foreign cash turned out to be disastrous because most businesses had been holding their savings in those, so essentially the government had just liquidated the savings of every still profitable business in the country, and all private citizens who didn't want to risk breaking the law or didn't have enough to bribe an officer. So the "reform" accomplished nothing but further tanking the economy and making everyone a legitimate reason to hate the government when they're in the middle of a civil war.

In any event the communists won the civil war and took over the country less than a year later anyway. By that point gold yuan notes truly were worth less than the paper they were printed on.
