Kind of, this phenomenon is well known amongst poker communities (ie, twoplustwo), you become desensitized to losses after a while. Like, when I was climbing stakes in poker, a big blind was more than a lot of people make in a day, but it just feels like pocket change because you're going up/down tens of thousands of dollars every day.
