Well heres the ting.
Corona will bring stimulus.
Also, bitcoin moves inverse to the us dollar. So if lockdowns come, not only will we see stimulus and inflation, but BTC will moon, and along with Paypal's big steps in bringing crypto to the masses, BTC will moon and attract new money into crypto as a whole, further incentivizing companies to get into blockchain, and there's no better way to do that than with iExec. Case and point, Google recently joining EOS.
So there's nothing to worry about.
Furthermore, I can theoretically see RLC decoupling from crypto as a whole in the future, because the usecase/tech is so disrupting to society. We WILL see cities integrate with 5G to create smart cities, and we WILL see the A.I. space develop, and we WILL see more demand for computerless computing.
Also, more and more companies are integrating blockchain to solve supply chain issues, and countless other things.
Blockchain technology itself is something that will continue to grow, and iExec is the cream of the crop when it comes to blockchain and tech, and that's evident by the level of endorsement they have by top notch tech companies.
RLC is a great investment. For anyone.

Fortunately for you, all kinds of companies themselves (Intel, IBM, Ubisoft) have heralded iExec.
It's more disruptive than you think.
Not only will it allow ANYONE to monetize computing resources, but it brings all their services to the same place, and offers that vendors always get the most cost effective computation, free of vendor lock in.
What's more is, it allows big tech to monetize idle computing resources.
And, since every computation uses RLC, it becomes global. Any country anywhere in the world can access the marketplace with RLC.
The marketplace is absolutely a game changer for the entire space.
Beyond that, I can't give you any real information on what else they do because it's out of my small brain league.
It allows for supremely secure sharing of data in a decentralized environment, there's a lot to that.
And another thing they do is solutions for smart cities, but I'm too much of a brainlet to understand that.
Here's a collaboration they did with IBM on that though

He's kinda right though. Lets do some math, logic, and reason here. Maybe other's can chime in.

If only 100k can have 870
That means that it takes 870 to make it, as 100k people using the world computer/investing in it is really nothing compared to 7 billion people demanding access to it. People with 870 RLC will have something like 870 years worth of computational power if we are to believe that 1 RLC = 1 year of computing power.

But of course, there aren't 87 million RLC up for grabs.
Only about 20 million if my calculations are correct. Much less when you consider the fact that no one is selling anymore, but lets go with 20M that exist on Binance.

That means that around 22,988 people can have 870 RLC at this rate.

>We are already at 18k wallets.

This means that if you can get even 87 RLC, you will make a large sum of money. Possibly not "make it money" but enough to say "well that was worth 87$". 87 RLC is enough for a single human to use iExec for their entire lifespan. (87 years)

Because it makes sense if you consider how little RLC is up for grabs. The amount of power 1 RLC has will most likely equal a year of computing power give or take. It could be 0.00000001 RLC per day as well. The power of 1 RLC will equal or beat the power of 1 BTC

the computers exchanging RLC are still running on oil (or coal or wind, or whatever). It doesn't actually "fuel" anything, its just a token used to mediate exchanges in a protocol.

Contrast to "digital gold", which serves the same function as gold.

"digital oil" is an incredibly strained metaphor and makes you look low iq.

Are you retarded?

You need to get paid RLC in order to do work(unless you decide to work for free). Therefore, without the "digital oil(RLC)" that runs the entire network called iExec paying workers to do jobs, you can't do any fucking work whatsoever. This system doesn't exist without it. It's "digital power" in that sense, due to the fact that you can control an entire army of computers, data, AI, or robots with the click of a few buttons. It's digital oil in the sense that you can control machines and get REAL LIFE PRODUCTS from it just like how oil can run machines and get REAL LIFE PRODUCTS from it.

Again, without RLC, you can't do anything. It is the fuel, or the digital oil. Stop trying to fud.

Oil: use a natural limited resource to create many things and power machines
RLC: use a blockchain limited resource to create many things and power machines to do computations.

So fucking hard eh.

>except that fiat currency isnt limited.
You realize you could trade your sister for that weed instead of your useless currency right? You can't trade your sister for access to the world computer, faggot.

>I am comparing a token used to transact for compute power to dollarinos

It's not remotely the same. Your dollar cannot access iExec without RLC. You can get RLC without $. Therefore, $ is irrelevant.

Hate to say it buddy but by 2030 electricity will be mostly free and machines will transact using cryptocurrencies through various tasks there will even be energy currencies. RLC will be one of the biggest contenders as it will be providing the computing power behind smart cities. Imagine you could tap into the BTC network which is the largest super computer in the world and harness that computation power. This is the power of RLC, I will not redpill anymore low IQ faggots like yourself.
