There is still speculation Arizona could go Trump when all the votes are finally counted and I think Pennslyvania's mail in ballot deadline extension contradicts state law (which is why PA mail in ballots have been court ordered to be segregated from normal ballots pending litigation). Sure I'm not implying that people should be reactive. I'm saying that being reactive in crash situations like back in March could pay off. As somebody once said: "The best time to invest is when there's blood on the streets". Everything will be observed modeled and predicted regardless of what you do so it's just best to focus on your personal situation and make the best decisions with asymmetrical risk vs reward, which is to make valuable long-term investments. And if you're going to make that investment regardless and the market graces you with an enormous dip you better take that as a blessing and invest. That's what I think.

And yes, physical is amazing to have because of the important quality of no counter-party risk. Even if it somehow goes all the way down to zero (which is of course impossible) you will still hold just as many ounces and grams as you did when it was worth more. This rings true about other investments as precious metals too. Any collectible that you know is valuable can be a good storehold of wealth: whiskey bottles, vintage cars, comic books, game cartridges, anything you could think of. The sky is the limit as long as you know your stuff!

Hedge against inflation and to a smaller degree deflation. Gold is a storehold of wealth because Central Banks cannot devalue it like they devalue currencies. Silver is a bit more speculative but will act as a storehold of wealth in a depression too. Both are severely undervalued while the stock market is in an enormous bubble along with real estate. Gold is always the safer investment. Guaranteed to hold its value. Silver is much more volatile and might not hold its value as well. I'd say the smartest thing to do is to hold both. Most have their own ratio that they want to hold. There are people who hold 1:100, some who hold 1:800 gold-to-silver here. Silver is easier to accumulate because it's way cheaper than gold so it's easy to keep adding that.
Own at least one ounce of gold. I made a stupid and went with the silver meme and bought 100 ounces straight away when I could've bought one ounce of gold and around 30-50 ounces of silver to allocate more. Now I'm kind of stuck with the silver but I still believe it will go up in the long term anyways because currencies keep being trampled. On the plus side silver could yield higher returns but then again nobody can tell the future.
