Trump lost. Just get used to it.
Now 4 years of Biden before he retires for his vp waifu.

The sooner Trumptards go over to finding flaws in Biden's policies and disillusioning Reddit people by showing that Biden will not change anything, the better the chances of a GOP win in 2024.

Trump will only get PA overturned, which honestly, is pretty much guaranteed. Dems in PA ignored a SC order. Twice.

But Trump needs GA and AZ to win. AZ so far it looking good for him, but not GA. If he cant find the votes he needs in the recount, it doesn't matter if he wins PA. Alternatively he has a chance to win through recount in Wisconsin, though that's very statistically unlikely. Or possibly though MI if they find out that the "glitch" that allocated those thousands of votes to Biden rather than Trump was very widespread.

So he def has some avenues to win, but it's an uphill fight all the way.

If you write ATM puts for 700 MSFT the market would need to tank a solid 50% before you get called. Which is "impossible" or at least "highly improbable".

Entirely depends on you. Some close the option as soon as losses mount, some roll it till it's profitable again, some panic and do weird shit.

Generally I'd wait and see and then roll if I am still bullish on the stock or realize some losses if not. I'm not an expert on spreads as i do predominantly trade naked puts though.

>Do I buy back the put I sold (at a loss) and at the same time sell the put I bought for a total net credit?

Like a cash secured put basically. All BP upfront. Usually. I don't know about your broker, it's better if you ask them directly.

The point of the trade war was short term pain for long term gain with regards to China. Of COURSE it would be bad for the US in the short term. That wasn't the point.

You say you want as little gov involved as possible, but the issue is that gov intervention with heavy regulations caused many of these companies to leave manufacturing in America and head to China. Trump was trying to fix that with lessened regulations in the US and trying to equalize trade with China more. It makes no sense to say that you prefer Biden because you want governments who do very little. You would WANT Trump to be able to do a lot in order to reverse the damage the democrats did with their policies.

No, BABA does not have the same ceiling as an Amazon. Think about the CCP and their ability to hinder whatever CEO hotshot thinks they're able to posture themselves above the government and/or define their own legislation. Consider the blocked Ant IPO and the current predicament of Jack Ma.

China does not care if they slow down or completely destroy a company, because they view themselves as a self-enduring, self-feeding multi-headed dragon as long as the CCP is in full control; they look down upon Bezos-like figures. And consequently, this spells doom for the retail investor and the all-powerful CEO narrative.

Buying JNJ, AZN, NOVO etc is absolutely fine but with these small companies the problem is that they lose money for so long that even if you find someone who eventually develop something good you are not guaranteed to be getting a good return. And even then if you are unlucky some competitor might release something better 4 month's later and then your winner quickly fizzles.

You can have succesful phase 2 studies and bummers in phase 3, all your money is gone.

They're making a new class of painkiller that's based on NSAIDs but doesn't cause any gastric damage. The bull case is that the moment said drug is approved, it will basically replace all prescription NSAIDs for safety reasons – and that's a multibillion dollar market. They have a third party market study posted somewhere. Consider that they currently have a market cap of $150M leaf bucks, and a product that if approved could be billions per year.

The bear case is they run out of money or fail phase 3 trials, and then it goes to 0.

you dont need a deep analysis to see that NIO is valued at 50x revenues with gross margins that are not impressive at all (actually still negative on TTM) and a manufacturer can't build up production capacity overnight to even claim they will have massive growth like Amazon

the downside potential is huge and i dont understand why people get tempted to FOMO in. The train has long left the station

That Pol post is the pinnacle of cope. It really is amazing, I don't know anymore.
Markets are probs gonna do some selling in the US on Monday for tax concerns, but honestly, I'm not even convinced about that. Dems might say they want to do so and so, but it doesn't mean they can in gridlock circumstances. Watered down nothing burgers for all.

Imagine if it were the other way around. Its just salt from the losing team, like in 2016.
Biden has won, pretty conclusively at this point as far as people who are schizos are concerned.

He consistently caused volatility in the stock market. The only time any of his policies brought good stock market gains was the tax cuts in his early years.

After that, all he did was argue with china, EU & the middle east (But didn't start any wars, I bravo that at least) The EST want him out, investors aren't thrilled with his man child antics right now either over losing.

Maybe do some decent long term investments and stop being a schizo. POL isn't on this board.

Any thoughts on Weed? I really fucked up I think because I sold too early yesterday on my calls. I thought 1250% was good...crap.

I was hoping they would announce Biden projected to win Monday, not on a weekend? Do you think if Tilray opens at say 13 is it worth it? Or will the earnings reports of ACB and CGC possibly keep it down still?

God I am so nervous on Monday, I might kms if it opens at 15 and all the options go to 500% IV and then I have to buy at 120$ TLRY 80call. Dammit.

Nio is more than just cars, and their ideas are really good. Battery as a service will make their cars much cheaper than competition, and looks like they are changing their sedan design to be much cooler. It's skyrocketing on the biggest EV market and expanding in Europe, where the other companyies are struggling. Nio will eat their marketing share easily

I might get 4000 worth of NIO monday. Hell long as they hit 100 I'm cool with it. If they pull a "holy shit" moment and go over that (150 - 200) all the better.

Wouldn't use BTC as an indicator of how stocks will react on Monday too much.

Dollar Index uncertainty is reducing steeply right now. So hedges are selling BTC as that scare is over on that front.

The stock should in reality go up if the VIX behaves.

>pushed away allies, and countries looking to trade while calling them shitholes
>China comes in and starts trading with said shitholes, expanding their reach
>trump ads a trading tarrif on china
>china manufactures goods in china, then "finishes" them in other countries essentially bypassing the terrif and dumping the extra cost onto Americans
>Shitholes today will be singapores tomorrow and Trump made sure they will never trust America again
>instead of following tradition he made his first presidential visit to saudi fucking arabia, ignoring our neighbors

You aren't going to win a trade war with china the way trump was handling shit.

i just don't see how it's sensible for someone to enter NIO now
it's good for all everyone else who jumped in on this in summer, but someone buying into NIO now is just a FOMO retard who'll either get lucky or start crying and be made fun off on the next dip

like i cannot see how its current valuations are justified at all. Even TSLA could only like quadruple their revenues since 2016. What kind of crazy growth do we need to see to justify NIO's valuation right now?

Lockdowns 2.0 will destroy the car industry, but the Chinese market doesn't give a fuck, so all non Chinese brands will get raped.
Btw there are 5.000(!) EV car companies in China. Do you know how many market share Nio could take?
