Yes but California has fucking fires and earthquakes. My aunt almost got fucking evacuated from her house in Oramge County last week. I mean i guess it depends where in California you intend to move. San Diego seems based, Norcal outside of the Bay Area seems based but its innawoods and like I said fucking wildfires. Orange County seems pretty based but I've never been. The rest of the state is a massive shithole from what I can tell

Anon, I live in CA and I absolutely love it. Born and raised. My advice is do not move here. It’s heckin expensive and there are violent homeless people everywhere. I haven’t left my house since the riots in May. It’s beautiful but it’s so fucked. Also I make about $20 an hour, but it comes out to about $13 after all the taxes, insurance, and fees are taken out lol

>lifestyle
pretty good i'd say. lots of bars, good food, conventions, grand prix yearly, good geography and weather with LA directly north and OC directly east, 5 them parks within in hour or so, very attractive women, and very ethnically mixed. On the other side housing and transportation is ridiculously expensive, lots of gangs in some areas, tons of homeless, crazy taxes, etc. If you make like 80k you can have a good bachelor life in Long Beach, but you definitely can't raise a family on it.
>beach city
locals don't go swimming in the waters around long beach due to it being a major shipping lane for both the LA and Long Beach International Harbors, massive filthy storm runoff drain runoffs coming from LA and North OC, and even homeless people living on the rock Jetty's pissing and shitting in the water. Huntington Beach, Newport Beach, or Bolsa Chica state beach are all cleaner and about 30 minutes away in Orange County.
>Why Dallas over LBC
Because it isn't California, Texas doesn't have a state income tax, and I am certain the cost of living is like 65%-75% of what it would be in Long Beach, especially if you aren't directly in downtown Dallas.
