To any frenchfag or anyone living in Europe, at least. There is an app called "Bravoloto" on android in which you can play lottery grids for "free", allowing you to win up to 25 000€ with the normal jackpot, 100 000€ for the super jackpot, and 1 000 000€ for the mega jackpot. You'll have to grind in order to obtain Super and mega jackpots tickers. In exchange, you have to watch lengthy video ads while your phone probably sends information to be sold to third party companies.
Furthermore, in the rare chance that you were to win a big prize, you have to accept that your name will be displayed in a winners list.

You can cheat the system and bypass the ads and some of the trackers by using an Adblocker such as AdGuard, basically dabbing on advertisers and playing grids without having to waste your time watching ads and stuff.

I do work, anon. Not the best of office jobs, but at least it's for the government.
Still, it costs nothing more than ~10 minutes everyday. Along with holding crypto, I think it's not a bad idea to try and put odds in your favor in whatever way you can.

dude, if gambling was a sure money shot you'd think we wouldn't have? there's 2 kind of people who bet on the trump/biden thing, people who know risk management, and retards, in fact since trump might actually lose this, there are statistically more retards in biz than the former kind
don't do this to yourself anon, if you want to gamble at least learn how to pick good shitcoins to x2 or x3 your balance and run

>> No.23726650

I play euromillions here and there. I'm not delusional enough to think I'll win, though.

First thing I'd do if I were to win the lottery would be to pretend I'm an insider whale and pump random low cap shitcoins with tons of wallets, just to see the reaction of the people here.

Nice to hear a good story about the lottery, especially from someone who won that young. Best advice I hear about the lottery is never tell anyone. Too many people become miserable from all the charities and family members that come crawling out of the woodwork.

If you buy 0 Mega Millions tickets, your odds of winning the jackpot are 0, obviously.

If you buy 1 Mega Millions ticket, your odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 302,575,350; this is an infinitely greater increase on your previous odds (see pic related).

If you buy 2 Mega Millions tickets, your odds of winning the jackpot are 2 in 302,575,350; this is a 100% increase on your previous odds, which might sound like a lot, but remember it is absolutely nothing compared to what your increase in odds were when you bought 1 ticket.

If you buy 3 Mega Millions tickets, your odds of winning the jackpot are 3 in 302,575,350; this is a 50% increase on your previous odds.

If you buy 4 Mega Millions tickets, your odds of winning the jackpot are 4 in 302,575,350; this is a 33 1/3% increase on your previous odds.

If you buy 5 Mega Millions tickets, your odds of winning the jackpot are 5 in 302,575,350; this is a 25% increase on your previous odds.

So as you can see, as you buy more and more tickets the increase in your chances of winning diminish rapidly. The catch is that every ticket you buy costs the same amount; for the first ticket, you paid $2 to get an infinitely greater chance of winning, yet every other ticket you buy adds less and less value at the same cost. You might call this an example of "diminishing returns" where further investment is not worth the value you get out of it.

If you wish to play the Mega Millions lottery, it is only logical to buy as many tickets as will increase your odds of winning over the previous number of tickets.

Thus, the only logical number of lottery tickets to buy is 1.

Great simple and logical demonstration.
This holds true if you're aiming for the jackpot. Which is obviously the less retarded strategy, in my opinion. But there also are people willing to "mitigate risk", so to speak, by trying to buy more tickets so that they can cover more numbers and hope to break even their initial buy price

This thread is so fucking retarded.
Even rugpulls have better chances at being profitable.
Have fun reaching your 60s spending half of your income on lottery tickets because the gambling addiction is so deeply rooted into your brain you start shaking if you don't lose at least 10 dollars a day on this scam.

Kek, the absolute state of /biz/. I buy a single $6 lottery ticket every week because you can't win if you don't play, but there's no "trying to win" the lottery. Obviously everyone wants to win the lottery, it isn't a skill-based game.

Wasn't there a story about a mathematician shitposter in Australia managed to win the lottery several times because he figured out a pattern or something? I assume it would take massive amount of time and effort, but this story, if real, goes to show that you can try to put the odds in your favor even if it's luck based.

Reminds me a little of how in the anime Kaiji the characters planned and beat a casino machine
