I've read this post in its original thread a few days back and so far I haven't quite understood why there is an emphasis on "exchanges" and "market makers."
If that poster - or anyone else for that matter - actually believes that financial institutions, central banks, etc. etc. will trade and transact their "normal business" on exchanges that are available and accessible to normies ("retail"), then they're beyond naive and borderline delusional.
Retail (normies) will be extremely lucky if the exchanges they have access to will either be crowded by "greater fools" that they can sell to or that institutions are actually allowed by regulations to purchase additional XRP tokens at public exchanges.
If retail gets 80 cents on the dollar of whatever the financial industry deems one XRP token to be worth among themselves we will be incredibly lucky.
Also anyone who looks at any order book and thinks "if i put in a market order it won't go further beyond the first 3 price levels so i'll get a good price" will enter the nightmare dimension if he actually dares to execute such order. They will be baffled and dumbfounded as to how the others could have known his order was coming and moved out of the way (or asked for higher prices)...

basically, they need to be sure the person on the other side of their trade is not sanctioned or money laundering (e.g the iranian guard/sinaloa cartel).

Having signed up to Binance, CB, Kraken and bitrue, i can say that the level of kyc there isn't great.

as intimated in my post though - this won't really be an issue. it'll be free money for any company that steps in and buys from us (at a haircut to reflect profit + the enhanced aml/ctf) and sells it on to banks.

either that or you'll find major banks going down the same path as revolut and others and offering crypto accounts. So once youve deposited your xrp with JP (or whoever), they can then sell it for you at any time (again, for a cut). This route gets them over the aml/ctf because they have to go through that to get you on as a client in the first place.
