>GME gets shilled all fucking day here but no one wants to talk about a company
Couple of things in GME's favor:
The (shilled) potential for a short squeeze got people seeing dollar signs
Everyone who posts here, on 4chan, is at some level a weeb, neet, gamer, what have you. Fundamentally, we all "get" GME's business and their product.

And against CLF:
CLF isn't sexy. It has growth potential, possibly a lot, but no headline news level short squeeze in the cards
Nobody here understands the steel market, or how anything influences it. How do metal futures actually work? I consider myself somewhat savvy, and I don't even know. Who do they sell to? How do mining operations affect them? How do tarrifs affect them? Nobody here knows, so there aren't enough people here with the confidence to buy and thus shill for it.

Yes and no, futures may not hold up depends how the market day goes.

The one signal this does show, is that the recent selling off has been fear. When good news comes from the election and post-election we will probs see a turn around.

If usa enters a lockdown though, goodbye everybody. Lol

The only other option is questrade, but it's still $5-$10 per trade per side, so only a minor step up. Though if you're trading with less than $100 you'll always be negative on trades due to ibkr commission capped at $1 on each side, and if you're trading with $20k+ you'll always pay more commission at ibkr than at questrade (if you include the cost of data, which is not free even for realtime L1 at ibkr), so eitherway we're fucked.

what? i was planning to switch to IB, i thought it was cheaper for both shares and options

either way IB is undoubtedly the only choice for selling premiums. Everyone else charges a massive fee (like ~$50) for getting assigned. IB doesn't charge anything and the options trading amounts to $2-$3 per trade rather than $20-$30
Scotia iTrade charged $9.99 + $1.25/contract plus I believe something like $65 if you get assigned

Nope, they killed it. The show volume/hide volume option is grayed out, and the volume display in the area that shows OHLC is replaced by "time average", an option that doesn't even exist in the chart settings. If you remove the volume display option, it removes that time average option, and if you add the volume setting again, it shows the time average setting again, so it's not a temporary failure. Creating a new chart widget also changes nothing, and restarting also changes nothing. Settings for the display zone:

NEE is good, but buying NEE because of their scale of operations is completely wrong.
Buy NEE because they operate in areas with a resilient, growing residential base (important given that lockdowns primarily hit industrial/commercial-oriented utilities), have a good power generation mix, favorable rate case environment, don't have major debt concerns, and have good management.

If you're looking for a pure green play, buy their infrastructure LP NEP.
If you're looking for a large-scale company with nuclear, buy EXC.

A case can also be made on the M/A side that a lot of assets in the region under worse ownership (like the Gulf Power SO thing) are future growth opportunities for NEE.

It's SUPPOSED to be 3x inverse, but they just fail hard at tracking so it's not 3x inverse. Generally you should never be in an inverse ETF even if you think the market is falling, just short the non-inverse ETF instead as it's far more accurate and won't go down or be flat while market is going down as an inverse is liable to do, so eitherway holding both TQQQ and SQQQ is of dubious advantage, although I wouldn't be surprised to learn it generates alpha almost always due to the discrepancy, or that there are times where the discrepancy increases to a point you can sell the whole thing and wait to buy back at fat profit.

It's not unusual, they are probably doing what is called A/B testing. The newfangled way is to send different updates to different people and gather analytics and feedbacks based on that to determine which update is good or bad. Of course, there is no such thing as a volume indicator, it's considered a special zone (and it doesn't even let you use lines to figure out what bar goes where, you have to use the hover with the quote detail zone as in the other screenshot to even get that information lmao). exactly, that's why I was asking about the formula, it looks like it's based on the reciprocal. Because if you short TQQQ and it goes up I think you'll lose more than you get long on SQQQ. those are dead on arrival if they're still trying to produce it from their own foundries. Intel is not using EUVL for some retarded reason, they cannot catch up. Also TSMC is hogging all the orders from ASML so Intel cannot get started with EUVL immediately even if they suddenly wanted to
irrc, Intel is looking to outsource to TSMC but since TSMC is fully booked up to mid-2021 there's kinda no hope on that until next year

AMD and NVDA both rely on TSMC for their top end shit. NVDA only gets Samsung (much lower transistor density, never mind shitty yields) for the weaker shit

The only problem with TSMC is the geopolitics risk, otherwise it'd be easily valued over $100 right now

that is not going to happen
do you know ANYTHING about Intel? or AMD for that matter?

AMD rose to dominate price-performance because of their chiplet design so basically even if a wafer has a shit ton of impurities, a lot of it can still be salvaged to save costs
Intel is absolutely struggling right now because immersion lithography has so many issues with sub-10nm, even Samsung is having so many issues with 5nm and they're using EUVL equipment like TSMC. Shitty yields = wasted wafers, not able to allocate enough shit to meet demand (e.g. Samsung and Qualcomm)

funny though, TSMC's yields are so good that I don't think AMD's chiplet design makes sense anymore. It's good enough that they can do shit like pic related (whole-wafer CPU), and they've claimed that their yields are even better on 5nm than on 7nm
Btw, TSMC prices orders at around ~$17K per wafer

Honestly don't mind CFDs, I think it's actually far less risk than using option contracts. If you buy say, AMD at 1:5, for 100 units, that's 500 AMD stocks you leverage, the buy price is spread higher, so you need $1+ ontop of the spread to gain $500. If you buy in now, you stand to make great reward in the near future (if a return to normal happens), or you can just keep them at a cost of $60 per month until they are profitable. So it's not a matter if buying is a good idea, it's a question of having the margin to negate huge dips, and simply waiting, with this strategy, you probably stand to make 130% ROI, by just bag holding. Diamond Hands making sure the accounts have safe margin.

Use Plus500 has better spreads than Trading212, so use that if you wanna day trade CFDs. Trading212 has better day holding prices.

Pollsters got egg on their face in 2016 because of "secret" Trump voters who avoided admitting they'd vote for him in surveys. That being said he's gonna lose because the economy's in the shitter, not because of racism or COVID inaction.

I use XTB. Anyway those brokers like to disclaim that ~78% of people who use CFDs lose money, so it's not for brainlets. If you get AMD at 1:5 then due to the leverage and broker margin limit of 50% the stock price only needs to go down 10% for you to be down 50% and get a margin call assuming no extra free margin, which kind of just happened with AMD and can easily end a brainlet's trading career.

I've had my computer which was on a raid 0 array kick the bucket, wouldn't boot, but could be read when I booted off of Ubuntu. I've used the technique 6 times since then (Yea, I have a lot of systems that just stop booting on the main drives, don't ask me, I don't why), and each time they were readable on Ubuntu, just not bootable.

Write the Ubuntu ISO to a disk and boot into the system (like launch into trial or something, rather than install), and copy the files in the file explorer to a Thumb drive or another hard drive.

When you have lots of red days, everyone who wanted to panic-get out got out. It leaves only the buyers, who will push the price back up somewhat. After several green days, you're out of buyers (even FOMOers) and start having only people taking profit in the market, hence pushing the price down. On the other hand, there are some "hot" zones where buyers step in following red days because the "price is right". If they overcome the sellers it will leave a green candle. Usually those aren't people who just buy if it's there or below, they just buy at that price and hope it goes their way, and get out if not. thus, if selling pressure is great, it will dump after the green day as all the buyers cut their losses on top of the panic selling intensifying. In that scenario, dumping can continue indefinitely as the 'hot zone' buyers are adding to the panic when they cut their losses.

Yes, if you Clone the whole partition.

Given the HDD is readable on Ubuntu, you can clone the partition using Gparted.
