This is quite a common problem in the philippines. The poor just sit in these ramshackle houses, most of the time they didn't even build them, they belonged to a relative. They are collapsing, but no-one bothers to repair or upgrade anything. The floor can have huge holes, and they just say "yeah it has holes". A white person would see the holes and immediately try to fix it.

The roof of one family was leaking, so they just go and wait in a neighbours house until the rain stops. Why not fix the roof?

All they do is breed, pumping out insane numbers of kids. The father just lazes around the house during the hot day, then spends all night drinking and gambling with his friends. Works maybe one or two days a week on a farming job because "its only temporary work sir" and they don't have the hustle to get up and do something themselves.

Cob (mud, clay, and straw) is actually a fairly decent building material. This niggers have shitty huts because they use straw roofs with no overhang, and they don't use any sort of natural plaster to protect them. Even Mongols two thousand years ago were more advanced. Yurts had had actually insulation (granted it was wool), heating, and apparently the smoke from their stoves helped protect against water leaks.

White people can build houses in practically no time at all with natural materials because we don't just slap mud together. We're educated enough to know that straw and clay actually strengthen the mud, and know what we need for a roof. The only reason some crappy little straw roof works there is because Africa doesn't see any noteworthy rainfall.

Building a small house with cob is incredibly easy. If you have a few people (like 5) building one you could probably get it done in a month. There are lots of videos of people doing that or building cabins in a couple of months (if not a month). Turns out stuff can be done really quickly when you have a dedicated crew that doesn't drag their feet to get paid more.

It literally takes like 30 seconds to search "cob house", "DIY house", "DIY round house", "wooden yurt", or "DIY cabin" on YouTube.

The reason it isn't more common is because of the ridiculous amounts of permits required to build houses in cities. People with wooded property outside city limits can build for next to nothing because they can can get cheap materials. Free trees and a cheap lumber milling machine only costs like $2000. I've seen people build regular sized houses for well under $30K because they're not paying a bunch of lazy contractors and construction workers who want to nickel and dime them.

Seems to be a side effect of long term colonization. If you look at traditional housing in PH, they build solid homes from bamboo and thatch that were strong to earthquakes and would survive typhoons.. now they sit around in plywood and sheet metal dumps driving 80 year old jeeps, fully demoralized. Housing regulations have cucked generations in the US. Building an affordable starter home for someone who wants a more basic old school home without frills is illegal. Alternative techniques are illegal. Hempcrete, earthbags, tiny homes without wheels, cob.. illegal. Most of these houses im on about are bamboo, with corrugated roofing. They aren't typhoon resistant, but they are very easy to repair and rebuild AFTER which is the key thing.

The problem is they have become urban poor, just far far too many of them. No-one owns any land, there are no resources free to gather.

Which is hilarious because they allow adobe bricks, and cob is basically adobe reinforced with clay and straw to make it more resilient (and thus make it less likely to be damaged during earthquakes). Clown world California has lots of buildings built with adobe, but building with cob in cities there isn't permitted, and I've seen some pretty recent looking Spanish style houses that at least have adobe on the outside.

There's also an insane amount of arguably bad materials in modern houses. Lots of fucking particle board and paper thin drywall. For some reason it's pretty common in apartments. A lot of stick build houses are literally just studs, drywall, and OSB, with concrete only being used for the basement. I don't know about you, but I haven't seen very many instances of people punching through OSB and Plywood, but drywall and thin sheet metal are very easily damaged by comparison.

Subsaharan Aficans evolved to be apex predators of arid climates and acquired skills at hunting large game while having minimal access to fresh water, food preservation techniques outside of salt, dense forests (outside of the Congo, of which such Africans in that environment made more than just mud huts), arable land, and relatively easy-to-tame canids. It seems to me they had plenty of intelligence to dominate their immediate environment. Also, last I checked, Ghana and Nigeria was doing quite well for themselves now that capital from China and other previously emerging countries are investing into them. Say what you will about their debt - I don't think the US, UK, or Australia are in any position to point fingers - but they are slowly reaching a level of stability that can attract further capital.
