Sure. No doubts about it. A big dump like this week can hit me pretty hard. But less hard than people holding these stocks directly. And when we go back up and I keep my strike rolled out then I also get more returns than index holders.

The main problem in all that strategy is purely mental. Never do more margin than you can handle. If your margin trading is based on a strategy where SPY would hit 130, before you are called then that's great. If it's 200, then you have a problem.

I could even do more margin but I value my sleep and my ability to laugh even at crashes because it does not bother me.
