>“SCA ONTIER LLP, Dr Wright’s solicitors, have confirmed that Mr McCormack’s legal representatives have informed them of their client’s intention not to continue defending the libel proceedings, which proceedings will now continue to their natural conclusion.”

So McCormack has lost now that he is abandoned by Tether. This statement went out to the media just now.

As if Tether's his only support. There are plenty of wealth funders ready to take up the cause against faketoshi.

Secure? Bitcoin has only 20 mining nodes that are relevant, or maybe even less. Liberty Reserver operated in 17 countries and it was taken down in 1 day if I remember correctly. While 70% of hashrate is placed in China. If BSV would be vulnerable, it would already be attacked. But you see It's impossible to attack BSV with 51% attack without revealing yourself. If someone would perform an attack like that he'd go to prison for many years. And even if BTC would be more secure, it's security cost is not worth it. High fees will kill BTC, and than all that "security" will be pointless. It's like sending an army to protect a worthless desert.

contrary to evidence right? bitcoin is the only chain where miners actually get substantial reward from fees. not $1 per block like on sv... no. grands. and will get more as the block reward halves.

And what do these nodes do? They don't do anything at all. They're lagging behind miner's nodes. After all Bitcoin is a small world network, and not a mesh.

>>23607380
There are two ways to make miners earn in the future, when block rewards are going to get lower. Bitcoin right now goes the path, where only VIPs will be able to perform transactions. Right now it costs $12, and if more people will start using BTC, it might go to hundreds of even thousands of dollars. On the other hand BSV wants to go with big blocks, where if a 1TB block would be mined every 10 minutes, than miners could earn with current fee prices around $8000 each block. Imo it's more likely, that there are going to be millions of people using BSV, than hundreds of people paying hundreds of dollars to perform transactions on BTC.

Nodes cost almost nothing on BTC to set up, but it costs millions to make a mining farm. And it costs even more to be a node on BSV, as you also need HDDs and high end network to be able to propagate big blocks. In BitCoin nodes are mining. Users are not nodes. They run SPV

Than what you're looking for in crypto is a platform that is decentralized, censorship resistant and anonymous. BitCoin is none of that. BitCoin is Centralized within few competing nodes(miners). The problem is, that when chain is decentralized, it can't scale well which makes it unusable for everyday uses. On the other hand anonymous coins are getting banned left and right, and their worth is only going to plummet. It's good that BTC and BSV have forked. Today they're completely different things.

what i'm looking for is an escape vehicle from crooked government confiscation of wealth.
1) confiscation through inflation
2) or just straight up thieving.
obviously bitcoin can do a hell of a lot more than that but that is all i require of it.

Gold and Silver is the way to go when it comes to preserving your wealth. Although it's good to invest in crypto right now as there is a high probability for bull market take place soon. The only problem is, that BTC is not going to have much of an upside with this high fees. Fees is what is killing Bitcoin's adoption and upside potential. In 2017 when fees went to $50 was the moment, which sealed BTC's fate in that rally. Everyone started to buy altcoins, as market's trust in BTC was shattered. And we're at the verge of repeating that cycle, as BTC's fees are pumping right now.

Not only can you already escape central bank policy with gold, it enriches you by never letting the economy contract at the expense of others suffering.
Bitcoin will unlock new wealth through automation, resolution and scale and also destroy the profitability of crime by making the flow of resource publicly accountable.
