Hello anons

I want to allocate about 5% of my portfolio to liquidity pooling just to get some exposure to volume fees. What are the best, relatively safe pools that are still worth your while? I don't want to get rekt by IP. Is it worth farming UNI?

safest are the large pools with stablecoins ie eth/usdcoin

uniswap is going to be so big and if you’re holding your 400 or still stacking you’re gonna make it

The most dangerous pairs are with stable asset and a 'moon' asset. Providing USDC/ETH liquidity hoses you with IP if ETH tanks for years, or is ETH moons. You are playing with fire and can only avoid IP if ETH somehow oscillates around current price indefinitely. You're longing the crab with that play.

Something like ETH/WBTC is safer because the ratio between them can oscillate around an average for years, meanwhile the USD price of each tanks or crabs or moons more or less together (if one goes up/down by order of magnitude other is likely to follow). Holding WBTC/ETH pool tokens is longing both assets and betting that they'll have a similar ratio in the future.

why isnt LP considered a scam if all you are doing is praying that the coin doesnt start to move?
