My stupid friends do nothing but just buy Bitcoin. They have higher returns than me... I feel like the amount of effort I'm putting in is not translating to higher returns. Selling all my stock market assets and just buying and holding deflationary assets is becoming very appealing. Well, WKHS is an interesting one because the bet is that they get the USPS contract. If they do, the contract, just by itself, would multiply WKHS's current marketcap valuation 6 times. That means the price per share should multiply 6 times from what it is now. So even if this thing tanks to a dollar before then, it wouldn't matter. The bet is the same, and it would achieve the same price if it gets the contract. Much more so, in fact, if there is huge short interest at the time of the contract announcement.

Ahem

Now anon I want to imagine you're not in some 6 by 5 basement containment unit surrounded by body pillows, piss bottles, and your battle station.

Instead you own a fired chicken stand in a small town in Alabama. But there's a problem. People just aren't into chicken anymore and year after year you see fewer of your old customers. They're into steak now.

And look at that, an outback steakhouse moves into town. They aren't really know for their chicken but understand some people still like it, but they want to bring some folks in who have up to now said chicken was guuud enuf for my papa and its guuud enuf for me. They want to get these people with the new program.

So Outback signs a deal with you where they share the a tiny bit of the bill with you for every customer you send to outback. Your resteraunt is failing so you cant really say no.

fffffffaaaaaaasssssst foooooorward

Its a year later, unfortunately you've driven all your customers to outback so they no longer need you. They certainly aren't going to help you start selling steaks, why would they want to create a competitor? The only reason they did it in the first place was to harvest your customers then cut you off the moment you had no one left and just a little less then you'd need to reinvent yourself as a steak shop.

You are now poor and your wife fivorces you and you die of aids.

The problem with this analysis is that Microsoft has tried physical stores and fucking sucks at them. And buying large hardware purchases online is a lot different than buying a game and downloading it. Nobody wants their xbox stolen by niggers chasing the Amazon van.

Now, if Microsoft could partner with an established specialty gaming retailer with a wide footprint, and sell their Xboxes there for just small cut of the digital margin, that's arguably a lot cheaper for them than either going back into retail themselves or trying to make shipping large electronics not dumb.

Furthermore, poor niggers who just stole your Amazon bought Xbox will trade it into Gamestop. At this point, that Xbox enters the Gamestop revenue ecosystem, and provides that juicy 3% despite being part of Amazon's allocation. And even further beyond, said Customers of Color almost exclusively pay in cash. Only physical retailers take cash.

Anon, people do not go to gamestop to buy consoles. They do buy them there, but only because 29/30 times they visited to see what cheapies they could get that you cant get online or at another retailer like target. Consoles alone are not something which requires a storefront. There is a place for physical retail left in the world, but walmart and best buy can fill that need just fine.

People go to a gamestop to buy actual games, discounted and refurbished. The more people they push to digital, the less people buy physical copies new, the fewer people sell them back to gamestop, the fewer they can sell at insane markups but which undercut the rest of the market.

People will still buy consoles and sell them, but this is not something that requires hundreds of physical locations to do.

People are going digital whether Gamestop pushes them or not, it's about finding new revenue streams and maintaining relevance when 99% of games are digital. Revenue sharing is just one example, I bring it up because it's concrete and already exists. Other examples are things like expanding the trade program to PC components, better online presence, omnichannel memes, etc. Gamestop has the cash and the leadership to make this work, I think.

The difference is fees. You normally get to pay $10 per transaction ($10 buy and another $10 sell) which makes only long holding worth it, thus useless. Americans get that shit for free.
Canadians have it even worse: they can't get tda at all because TD is a canadian bank, so they have to use the cucknadian TD service instead, which is so bad it's outright insulting.
Meanwhile americunts get it all for free.

There is meaning in having and using status effects, buffs/debuffs and stuff. Also some people have a boner for getting party wiped by rng for some reason.

The funds running the board actively disuaded management from doing anything else but giving it back to investors.
