That's a bit strong friend. I just want to buy precious metals and let the price move to an unmanipulated level.

I'm told I need a Nazi uniform to do this. I'm uncomfortable with this as it would be expensive and might see me beaten in my own home by a feral pack of informed citizens.

Should I be afraid of BLM? I only want to buy silver. I've never attended a nazi rally or heard a Hitler speech and I speak no German. I'm confused.

to be fair you're trying to lowball him- and the date isn't 1898 because they didn't make an 1898 shilling so most likely it's the 1895 which is worth about 20 usd in that shape, and if it was the 1892 you probably could get 30-40 for it because it's a first year, bit better, etc. So maybe you stop being a fag and offer the man a reasonable amount of dosh?

you can't quite see in the photo but it's dated 1893, the way the 3 comes up makes it look like an 8 at first glance. like you said they didn't mint an 1898 shilling which the guy obviously didn't know, how could he have an idea of value when he doesn't even know what coin it is. As for paying 30-40 for it you're mad. yes for a high grade coin but that's worn as shit and came out the ground. have a quick look on ebay and you can get a 92 same grade for exactly what I was offering.

Oh man.. if only I could just close my account to get access to my own money... Id have to become a non resident to get it at this point and I would still have to wait 2 years... Buckle up frens. Deflation wave incoming. No stimulus and things could get rocky. Dollar is going to spike. Long dated treasuries might land on the moon. No matter what happens, 1 ozt = 1 ozt. I am hoping to profit from the potentially mother of all short squeezes in the long dated treasuries market. Profits go into physical.

Also, I saw a post in an earlier thread that said people dump treasuries when rates drop. I just had to respond since I got home that this is pants on head retarded. Bond yields drop BECAUSE people are BUYING them and bidding up the prices.

I wouldn't be against silver dipping into the 20s again because it'd be a good time to stack more but there's a lot of variables that are making the near future less-than-obvious. We could have le ebin debt reset tomorrow or it could never happen. Trudeau can go endgame retard or he'll just get tossed out. Biden can win or Trump may. COVID could continue to cause uncertainty and everyone just goes retard off of that information or we could be finally nearing the end.

I think that silver is overvalued somewhat, based on the prices prior to the meme virus, but with everyone literally going peak retard it's possible that a decrease in price and we're in for a shitstorm.
Either way, I don't hold PMs as a speculative tool. They're a store of wealth that I'll be passing on to my kids.

>> No.23536725

>>23536653

the way i look at it, bitcoin is a good model for how people would respond to a decreasing supply of precious metal. and crypto has no intrinsic value, so the PM moon should be at least as dramatic, if not as fast

>> No.23536790

>>23536725
The thing is that I don't see the PM supply diminishing, if anything we had a shortage because everyone was buying the shit out of physical and production wasn't prepared to meet said demand, while paper PMs inflated the price once bankers saw that they were overvalued.
Like correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think that we're nearing the end of the peak silver bell curve. If we are, you can bet that I'll buy the shit out of it, but until then I'll stack in some unconventional ways, such as silversmithing.

look into tax saving measures. You should be able to transfer a retirement account into another retirement account with no tax, and little to no fees/penalties.

There are a couple allocated gold/silver retirement vaults that might do well, but expect to pay taxes on anything you take out. Might be a better idea to put it into stonks, or a mix of physial.

For what its worth I have been fighting tooth and nail for a few months to get my retirement fund the fuck out of the markets in general and into better investments.

afaik xrp can be changed by a vote held among its validators but i don't recall the specifics. in any case they probably wouldn't vote to dilute xrp arbitrarily. really the same could be said for bitcoin or any other crypto, which are all based on consensus. xrp spares you the bullshit about "work" and trustlessness.

I said the opposite. I said long term treasuries are going to spike in price, meaning rates are going to tank. Yield and bond price are inversely proportional. As price of bond goes up, yield goes down. Everyone and their mother in speculator land is shorting the bond market right now betting that yields are going up. The banks have taken the other side of that trade and are not going to lose money. I'm betting on a spike in bond price, not yields.

Time to start fossicking on the weekends bud. Everyone here thinks their old silver spoon they found in grandmas house is worth hundreds of dollars. It's all so tiresome.

I wanted to buy a 10kg coin recently and the 'dealer' here was asking double the price from an actual dealer in Germany. I told them, 'hey, I'll buy it but for 5% more than what I can get it out of Germany for.' Dude's like, 'fuck yo' grandma this is worth more than that! Yo' be lying and trying to steal from meeeeerrREEEEE!' I proceeded to buy said 10kg coin out of Germany and it took 2 days to get here. 45th world is gay sometimes... but only sometimes.

Even more good news from PGM:
https://www.puregoldmining.ca/news/puregold-intersects-1147-gt-gold-over-12-metres-underground-and-663-gt-gold-over-1-metre

"PureGold Intersects 1,147 G/T Gold Over 1.2 Metres From Underground and 66.3 G/T Gold Over 1 Metre From Surface"

"VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Oct. 27, 2020 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Pure Gold Mining Inc. (TSX-V: PGM, LSE: PUR) (“PureGold” or the “Company”), is pleased to announce that ongoing surface exploration drilling near the PureGold Mine continues to establish greater continuity and expansion of gold mineralization with high grade results returned from multiple drill holes targeting both resource upgrades and resource expansion outside the current mineral reserves.1 In addition, underground mine stope delineation drilling has intersected bonanza grades in areas targeted for first ore delivery and gold production from the mine. These latest drill holes confirm the exceptional grades of the gold mineralization in the Wedge resource area, support continuity of high grade gold mineralization across the entire seven-kilometre long gold system, and confirm high grade gold in mine stopes scheduled for early production.

Our underground drilling continues to be extremely successful in delivering on its objective of discovering new gold mineralization, extending mineralization out from planned stopes and confirming stopes planned for near-term production. New grade control drilling has highlighted the potential for bonanza grades in stopes planned for near term production."

Exciting news from Tocvan Ventures:
https://ceo.ca/@thenewswire/tocvan-announces-drill-targets-at-the-pilar-gold-silver

"Tocvan Announces Drill Targets, at the Pilar Gold-Silver Project in Sonora, Mexico"

"Calgary, Alberta - TheNewswire – October 26, 2020 - Tocvan Ventures Corp. (CSE:TOC) (CNSX:TOC.CN) (“Tocvan” or the “Corporation”) is pleased to announce drill targets for the next phase of the development program at the Pilar Gold-Silver Project in Sonora, Mexico. Drill permitting is underway and is pending. Successes have been achieved from the Phase 1 target generating program over the past six months to locate targets for drill testing. MPH Consulting Limited, and SRK Consulting (Canada) Inc. have completed the structural analyses on the Pilar Property in Mexico. High grade gold and silver are located within and controlled by structures such as faults, intersecting faults, and dilated structures.

Results from the study show deep penetrating sub-vertical north-trending structures found within the northwest trending structural shear corridor. Gold and silver mineralization correspond with north-trending structures and are bounded within the northwest trending shear zone. The north-trending faults are extensional features that can be interpreted as en-echelon (dilational) structures. These dilational faults have an approximate length of 300m, extend from surface to an approximate depth of 600m, and are repeating structures within the northwest trending large shear corridor across the property for at least 1,000m. Additional drill targets, where gold values are also controlled, are at the intersections of north-trending faults with northwest-trending shear structures. These intersections are often areas of weaknesses, dilated, and present as pockets and chutes."

"New Found Intercepts 22.3 g/t Au over 41.35m and 31.2 g/t Au over 18.85m in Initial Step-Out Drilling at Keats Zone, Queensway Project, Newfoundland"

"Vancouver, BC, October 27, 2020: New Found Gold Corp. (“New Found” or the “Company”) (TSXV: NFG, OTC: NFGFF) is pleased to announce preliminary results from the first four 2020 drill holes (NFGC-20-18, 19, 21, and 23) at the Keats Zone (“Keats”) as part of an ongoing 100,000 m diamond drill program at its 100% owned Queensway High-Grade Gold Project (“Queensway”), 15 km west of Gander, Newfoundland."

Shame in the sense that I had hoped they would keep falling to around C$2.50 or so, that would've been a good entry point. Oh well, maybe they will go down. They probably won't. Just look at that pump, it's even more decisive that PGM's

bitcoin is essentially a model for what PMs are going to do eventually anyway. the difference is that people need PMs and real work is required to mine them. bezos and elon are into solar, and i see no reason to let them shaft miners by underpaying them for their product. silver is cheap right now because hardly anyone is bidding against industrial users for the freshly mined product. this is why i'd rather buy fresh metal than miner stock or sterling. in fact, i'd argue that it's the socially responsible thing to do.

to "mine" a bitcoin you need a piece of data, which, appended to the coin, will yield a sha256 hash with several leading zeros (the number of which at any given time is determined by bitcoin's DAA). it's generally thought that there's no real efficient way to find such a piece of data except by exhaustive search, so the "work" is really just brute forcing sha256. more clever algorithms like monero's randomx use a more complex strategy where, if i understand correctly, hash outputs are interpereted as a program, executed on a VM which supports a variety of instructions (including FP ops) and the output of a sequence of these programs is taken. this must be repeated in sequence to prevent people from choosing easy programs.

the point is, the work creates no actual value. it's a parody of work, and people are going crazy over it. proof-of-stake/consensus coins are much more sensible because they don't waste electricity for a tasteless parody of labor.
