What did you buy with your gains? I bought this simple yet based Royal Broke by Casio with some LINK gains that I cashed out at 19$ (less than 5% of my stack but it was a great treat). Next I will buy new furniture, a TV and a car all with that cashout because I literally lived like that famous matress and laptop pic for the last 5 years. Holding the rest to 1000$ or 0$ tho.

Nice watch, I like Casio, they make some good watches. I sold most of my Link at the top (luckily) and bought a decent 2nd hand Civic tourer, overpaid my mortgage by a few thousand and bought 5oz gold. I never had a big stack, got in a bit late but thankful I made a decent bit out of it.

what did I say, I named it Royal Broke. Still love the style as it's not a blatant ripoff, just a more sporty and more modest look with fun accents like the yellow font and seconds hand.
>>23532504
I mean, I technically cashed out about 13 LINK to get the watch, this would've cost close to 1k. No thanks. Also I'm not a mechanical fan.

Non watch faggot here. My dad is retiring soon and he also just go diagnosed with cancer... I've made it off of Link and a little bit of the investment was because my parents trusted me enough to give me a loan to buy some of that Link. So, I want to buy my dad a good gift and I keep thinking of a watch.

Can you watchfags help me out? We are hard working, go to church every Sunday, country folk type people. They've never owned something "fancy" or expensive in their lives. So what kind of watch would be good for a handy-man type guy? I guess it could be once a week wear to church type fancy, but I'm not sure he would like that. Is there something he could wear every day that would hold up to dings from working around being a handy man?

Why are even discussing watches if you're going to compare functionality? If you care about functionality, watches are entirely pointless, just use a phone.

Any rolex looks 90 times better than your watch and they retain their value as investments.

is there anything worse than watch threads on /biz/?
every pleb comes out the woods telling how X brand is so good but what they don't realise is the entire industry is practically a scam since the quartz revolution.
you are either paying for marketing OR you're paying for a fully hand made piece by a proper watchmaker (normally well over $10,000).
anything bought for under $5k is usually a SHITTER unless you go vintage
Omega isn't even omega anymore, it's swatch. they just treat omega like their golden goose and shit out new limited edition semenmasters with replacement parts from china
Rolex is still a well made watch, but the demand has skyrocketed and you can't buy retail so you are almost always OVER PAYING.
Patek's are okay, but like AP their rep is getting ruined by niggers. Patek has also doubled their production rates in the past 10 years without doubling their staff. do you think the finishing will be the same?
Hublot.. lmao that dumb tasteless faggot in the thread is guaranteed a chink.
>inb4 seiko
Yes basedko made good value watches, and now they know they can jack their prices up and gaijin will buy any stupid shitty malaysian made watch for $400 (see latest seiko 5s, complete shitters)
If you are going to buy seiko buy BEFORE the rebrand to "Grand Seiko"

buy a cheap casio or citizen, OR go vintage or go BIG and buy a lange or independent piece (unless you are an obscenely rich oil sheik)

good for you all tho, cashing out to buy things you want
life's short as hell, buy what you really want if it makes you happy
just some advice, if you're iffy on something like a nice car or a watch or whatever you think may make you happy, consider buying a cheaper one and using the rest of the $ you cash out to go on a trip or do something you've always wanted to do like traveling, rock climbing, skydiving, whatever it may be
