I'm holding some mandatory convertible preferred shares right now and they have good div yield and the stocks of the issuing company are going up but the shares themselves are going down in price. They convert to 5 shares of the issuer's common stock in March 2021, and that's up 12% but the convertibles have dropped 18%.

What's the reason for this? These are preferred, so they'll pay out in bankruptcy first. They're 6% div yield, which comes out to 50% annual yield at the current price. And there's still 2 dividend payments before they convert. The common stock is 6x higher than these convertibles too.
