Of these, I've invested into: SSE (very risky, drilling delayed, dilution likely); BHS (very risky, production pace not picking up, dilution likely); AUMN (medium to high risk, first mine starting up early 2021, second in 2023, financials ok for now)

Will invest into AUN soon, probably will invest into VGLD & DV after that unless something else like GPL takes priority.
>>23490329
I'll have to look at their financials, projects and news. Hype and endorsements are all fine but I want to understand perfectly what kind of investment I'm making. I always make a few pages of Word notes and a summary in .txt. That said, I have a good feeling and image of them already and I think the sentiment is perfectly justified. $4.25 in Quarters and $4 in Mercs

By my calculations I paid a little over $21/Toz. The guy was closing up to leave cuz it was starting to rain, I basically bought out what he had left on the table. I offered $300 for all of it, he said $350, I countered $325 and he accepted.

Think I did pretty good. Im getting more into junk and fractional after stacking rounds and bars all summer.

Sure. SSE is a microcap specialized in exploration, so they'll explore a property and develop projects from an early stage. SSE's main project Pino de Plata was drilling ready for a maiden drilling program until a local landowner made legal complications (he wanted a stake of the project or something, it's likely going to get ruled in SSE's favor but the legal stuff is taking its sweet time). Their geologist has estimated that the property could have 100Moz Ag in there but that's just speculation. They have only taken promising surface samples.
In the meantime, SSE has acquired a 50% stake in a totally unexplored property in Sonora, Mexico. They'll have to pay a few hundred thousand for that at least, and they haven't updated their financials since Q3 2019 (back then their current ratio was 46% and had negative total equity). Their current financial and project-related circumstances don't instill me with confidence, which is why I classify them as a super high-risk investment. On the other hand, if their (unannounced) financials are actually fine and their properties hold great amounts of resources, investors will get great returns.

You could consider looking into their JV partner for the new Jackie project as well as their other El Mezquite project, Colibri Resource. Colibri's financials are much more convincing and their systematic strategy favors investors. You won't get to speculate the Pino de Plata property if you invest into Colibri but other than that, they are like a better version of SSE.

One thing a lot of junior explorers screw up on is they buy up a wide list of properties (say 3-5) begin work on one, than loose focus and switch around to different places. Instead of getting an accurate picture of 1-2 properties that they can than talk up, they end up with a bunch of samples and test results from different places that dont get you anywhere. I am not saying that SSE is doing this, but it happens often.

I count $21.25FV there ($4 in Mercs, $4.25 in quarters, and $13 in halves). If you got that much for 325, you only paid a little bit over 15x, and got a good deal (under spot). If you want a better calculation, you need to tell us how much face you got.

Aside from that, I like that you got the 1982 Washington commemorative halves. Is one proof and the other uncirculated, or are they both uncircs?

>>23490489
I counted the same face, but I only see the two GWs, along with what looks like a 1999-S Delaware state quarter proof.

You wound up getting them for about 15.3x face, or $21.39/ozt, using the $1FV = 0.715ozt constant.

that is a very very interesting bit of data they have there. clear cut that there are "pipes" or "conduit" action that will likely carry high gold and silver counts. >> No.23490854

>>23490729
That definitely seems like what SSE is doing (to me at least). Sure they got unlucky with Pino but maybe they should've focused more on exploring El Mezquito instead of acquiring another 50% stake. They seem very disorganized to me, and they have properties that are just left hanging with no active exploration going on. Colibri is like a day to SSE's night in the sense that they keep selling property interest and they are systematic, active and quick in their exploration. Their news feed is filled with updates from multiple properties from their JV projects. They know what they're doing, and they are decisive about it.
>>23490779
Thank you! I'm totally helpless with the geological stuff and your professional knowledge is golden. Definitely seems like a great opportunity. This too is a property that Colibri first held a stake in by the way, they hold 49% interest now.

SSE is just a driller/explorer for now. Quite likely they are sitting on a very large deposit, but as was said, drilling needs to happen to confirm it. They might not have it.

I was in it and sold to realize profits once I hit about 27% in the green, if they get back down to 5-6 cents per share Ill likely buy back in. CEO .com has lots to say about them.

Definitely a risk, but I think not a blind one, the area should have lots of metal, and I think its a high reward play.

Not safe enough for me to make it a huge position like aurcana is, but enough for me to feel comfy throwing some money and waiting for good news.

If you're looking for microcaps, I can fairly confidently recommend Colibri then. Another fairly speculative play I want to encourage people to look at is Summa Silver. They have a property in Tonopah, Nevada with a drilling program on the way currently, they're drilling near an old mine that stopped producing when silver prices went down. Their shareholdings are super centralized and seem very interesting. They also practically reached out to me to ask questions when I subscribed to their newsletter, and earlier this week I actually did. Looking forward to getting a reply, that would possibly seal the deal for me!

However if you're looking for a less risky investment, why not invest in something like PGM or AUMN? They are both near term gold producers. PGM has a promising project and great exploration potential for further increase to resources as well as excellent near-term financials and passable debt-to-equity ratio, and AUMN is a little riskier -- they are trying to begin production at their Romeo project Q1 2021 and after the short-term, 2y project has run its course they will try to begin production at their Velardena property in 2023, which will be a project with at least 10 years life of mine. A little risky because starting up a mine and maintaining production holds its fair share of risks but a good risk-conscious investment in my opinion. I'd also recommend Gowest Gold but their near-term financials aren't convincing, their current ratio is about 9% (June). They are ramping up their Bradshaw property aggressively to try and begin production in 2021 and their property holds massive potential for many other gold mines but I'm concerned they won't be able to get a stable cash flow in time to pay for the liabilities -- will have to wait for a new financial statement before investing.

Alright mixed myself up. Correction: They stopped production because the veins were offset by the fault zone and got lost, so they didn't find any more to mine and had to close down. I'll add that they have a lot of ground that is totally unexplored and their current drilling program is 7,500m long. Historical grades over 1,200AgEq (GSR 1:80). Excellent financials too -- little to no debt, current ratio 2878%(!), and they even have $5M in cash left over even after beginning the drilling program (as of May, 2020). Current highlight is 2.5m @ 3,760g/t Ag drill sample and they are expanding their maiden drilling program (14 Oct 2020)

Hey, that's not a bad stack, fren! You have more gold than I do, for instance. So your 'little' half ounce of gold is about the same as about 38.6 ounces of silver.

I don't have the money coming in to allow me to start stacking gold at any reasonable rate as it goes up, but I'm securing my place on the silver rocket in a safe, consistent way before it departs.

I'm content to acquire what I can, and the only thing I wish I could do is be able to buy more for my stack. There's plenty of silver and gold out there to pick up, so I have no need to be jealous of another's larger stack or their pace. Conversely, I see no reason to deride a fellow forward-thinker for having a smaller stack or being unable to add to it at a slower rate than myself.

We might not be the new 0.0001%, but anyone seriously stacking is already in the top 4-5% when the whole fiat scheme finally shits itself. That's something we can all celebrate here.

What I do know is that prices are going up, wages aren't keeping pace, currency is being printed at an insane rate, and none of that is good for a country whose fiat debt is going up faster and faster. The USD is currently a depreciating 'asset' (negative real interest rates), and I can just tell that keeping only as much fiat as you need on-hand and locking the majority of the rest of your spending power in a form that has been considered real money since the beginnings of written history is the wise move.

Personally, I hope it's a nice slow death because that lets me get as much of that value converted as possible. Difficult to be able to stack quickly on just a couple Jacksons a week, after all.

For realistically finding silver 'in the wild', you want to be able to have at least $500 in currency and a bank to get half dollar boxes from. It's no guarantee, but helping to move coins between armored car companies can get to silver that zombies have turned in for face value. I did this myself for a while, and found about a roll ($10 FV) of 90% Kennedys, as well as about 3 rolls of 40% Kennedy halves.

You can also start trolling the green Coinstar machines in grocery stores and Walmart. Look in the little cup at knee height and swipe anything in there. Those are configured for fiat coins, so silver gets rejected. Sometimes people leave them, along with any ('worthless') foreign coins in the cup. Some others will just walk away from plain old change you can put towards buying more silver. I wageslave at a place with a machine, and just in 2020 so far, I've already picked up over $5 FV in less-than-face 90% silver, just from checking the machine and some clueless person spending a bunch of silver coins and being there at the right time to buy it out of the register.

Neither of these methods should be considered anything more than treasure hunting and a hobby, but they result in the cheapest of the cheapies as you can get.

I believe that"s already happening, but they're just switching from LIBOR to SOFR. The US just switched over the last weekend, and the rest of the world will be phasing LIBOR out over the coming months. By the end of 2021 I think everyone will have switched. Not sure how or if it will affect our shiny stuff or the dollar. Maybe anons who know more than I do can weigh in...

It is swaps (aka derivative market 1st). The fed is hoping that they can reign in derivatives (which they can not due to the euro dollar system & the shadow banking system at play) to allow the forced switch in actual loans and all in 2021 to happen without people realizing it was going on. The forced switch will have people's loans be a bit smaller pre transition, but it will be based on the repo market.

Ironically, Liberia along with the Congolese and Rwandan governments actually make an effort to produce (or at least, contract the production of) coins collectors actually want, because they know that otherwise no one will buy them.

On the other hand, the US mint has clearly decided they can flog anything they want at any price they want, and the public will just take it because ‘Murica.

That doesn’t surprise me. From what I gather, Liberia relied on the US to make basically all advanced manufactured goods it couldn’t supply itself. If the Peace Dollar commemoratives are nice, and not extortionately expensive, I will forgive the US mint for their recent run of shenanigans (shitty coins no one wants, charging $105 for proof sets and $60+ for numismatic ASEs etc.). I wouldn’t bet on it though.

I shouldn’t be too hard on them really: the 5oz quarters were cool, I liked the American Innovation series, and the proof sets USED TO be nice and affordable. They just have really dropped the ball a bit lately, and it’s very noticeable when you compare prices from the Royal Mint (which to be fair also overcharges even more on their numismatic items: but at least their billion coins are cheap and cheerful).

I just wish the US mint would have a few solid, affordable items in stock all the time. Surely that’s not too much to ask?

My advice would be to buy minty 5th portrait sovereigns, you wont get anything before 2017 and they will be cheaper than what you will be paying for new 20s. Odds are if you had done that from the start you could have had one of every 5th portrait.

Ah, I see they're not on there. Not an issue to me because I planned to use another broker for them anyways, too much of a penny stock to buy on Degiro because of the fees per share. You could still email Degiro and ask them to add the company to their catalogue, and they might add it considering they also have Silver Spruce in there.
>PGM and AUMN are both good but PGM is 3 times the cost of AUMN, that was the deciding factor.
I see your reasoning on PGM & AUMN but let's do some math and see if that's really the case.
PGM's price is C$2.30 (US$1.75), with about 400M issued & outstanding shares. AUMN's price is US$0.45, with about 150M issued & outstanding shares. With this data, as well as the total shareholder equity found in their financial statements, we can calculate both the book value as well as P/B (price-to-book) ratio of both of these companies' shares. I'll skip the calculations here to save time (you may do them yourself to check if I'm right or wrong) but the end result is that PGM's P/B is only ~12.2x while AUMN's P/B is ~12.4x. So they are similarly priced when only looking at the share price compared to the amount of issued shares. So what you should really be looking at in this case is their projected future cash flow and projects.

So in a sense that's not a bad choice because they are similarly priced (discounting that you'll have to pay fees per share with Degiro) but it would be more important to see what the respective companies are offering and which projects you think would end up being more profitable in the future. One argument in your favor would also be that the psychological factor favors AUMN, because it's easier for the price to go over $1 than over $3 or $4 in my opinion at least.
Disclaimer: I own both AUMN & PGM (400 & 100 shares respectively) and I'm not a professional or anything, just throwing shit at the wall and seeing what sticks

Finland has brutal taxes. Will have to increase my tax level too because I've been working overtime so much. Even though I now make over 3k€ gross per month, about a fourth of it goes straight to the state and that still leaves living expenses like insurance, gas, food, mortgage (+payments to my condominium) and the bills. And I still want to invest only a fourth or fifth of my net profits -- about 300-350€ every two weeks-- and I can only barely keep my bank account balance in a positive state each month. It's a question of principles to keep the balance green so that I won't start spending/investing unsustainably
