As far as I'm aware, consumers choose which producer they want to buy electricity from. The energy from the producer doesn't necessarily go to that consumer but it goes throughout the network of households who are customers of Lition Energy.

Richard was a director at Vattenfall and managing director at ExtraEnergie. Kyung is also in a senior position for Vattenfall and is a veteran in the energy market. I think they have a much better idea of the German energy market than you. this team have no track record of baseless hyping and it would be very uncharacteristic of them to hype these upcoming announcements in they way that they have if the what will be revealed will fall short of how they described it.

If this exchange listing turns out not to be 'major', once again this will be a poor reflection on the team. This strengthens my belief that we are at 15-20k customers today and are going to slightly surpass 20k customers by year end, maybe reach 25k.
So while the article says that Lition Energie is expected to have a revenue of 10 Million EUR for 2020 this is outdated data because in the beginning of the year they were pulling in a lot less then today. At 20k customers they would be pulling in 20 Million annualized (Richard always said that a household is approximately 1000 EUR in revenue).
Given the valuation of European utilities to be between 0.4 and 2 times their revenues it is possible to claim that Lition Energie Gmbh should be valued at about 40 Million Euro or 47.5 Million USD. I would say that case of being on the higher end of the valuation to revenue ratio is easy to be made given it's high growth rate (+525% yoy per the article).
