There is no right answer for this. Mostly personal preference and security vs. convenience.
Hot storage (with Spark support) - XUMM or Exodus.
Cold storage - Ledger/Trezor or Paper/Metal Wallet

>note this indicator strategy has performed an average 90% on most trades
perhaps this is going to be the short to ruin all longs; crash the price down to next to nothing and then flip the switch type deal. I'm holding out my main stack until January/Feb, but i have some wiggle room with Eth / erc20 which, if eth2 doesnt come out in the next two weeks, im for sure liquidating my blue chip tier shitcoins. Eth network has been such a disappointment last few months, can't stand the space anymore with how many degen casinos are quickly getting eaten up. I think it's a fed's wetdream to crack that one.

Hello comfy frens, just throwing out an observation

Countries that have limited their citizens from buying cryptocurrency or outright banned them are the same countries openly talking about developing a CBDC.
The countries that you can buy cryptocurrency openly all claim that CBDC aren't that big a deal. Which to me makes sense given those countries are more open to the private sector moving first, while the ones that crack down do not want the private sector freeing their citizens before they get control.

just my 2xrps

Flare is NOT "on" the Ethereum blockchain.

The reason we can use Ethereum address (that we own the keys to) is because Flare uses the Ethereum Virtual Machine and Ethereum style addresses that use the same key derivation scheme. This is its own network. Secondly the token is called Spark not Flare.

He was telling me about a guy (a friend and client) who comes from a lot of Easter European money (100s of millions). His father was beset by corruption scandals so they put assets in this guy’s name and he has blown through 400+ million on loser investments. Sounded like he was planning the rope. Either that or his dad would have him roped.

It’s easier than you think to lose it all. Even if you want to play around with high risk investments, make sure a serious proportion is in low risk, income generating

True. I’d also say conservative investors keep wealth and smart people keep wealth.

Chasing moonshots is often gambling. Of you’re building generational wealth, there’s no rush - keep the ship moving forward steadily and teach your kids to do the same.

Knowing that there are lots of people smarter/more knowledgable than you - like professional advisers - and listening to their advice, is a smart move. The rothschilds are not picking their own investments. They’d have a veritable army of folks at different advisors helping with that.

Look at the current price of Bitcoin. It’s nearing its run up to $20k and subsequent ATH. You would think that you’d want to see price action that mirrors this movement at least a bit to ease up on the over head supply.

I just don’t really ever see it happening. Feels too late. Movement already started hard in DeFi and the adoption you guys want to desperately seen is already occurring by companies like Google, Microsoft, Oracle, Fidelity etc. but it’s flowing into DeFi

Based on my current lifestyle I could immediately ‘retire’ from the daily grind.

I’m then thinking to allocate a large amount to buying apartments in top tourist destinations (Venice, Barcelona, Ibiza etc). I’ve done a small amount of research and a good place in a good location when rented can pull in £5k per month minimum. If I can get 10 places that’s another £50k per month income.

I will be looking at passive income from crypto, I’m convinced we will be able to lend our xrp in some form I’m just not clued up that much on crypto lending yet though.

How would ALGO or XLM (or similar) be used for CBDCs and what would it do to the native currency?

Essentially, XLM and ALGO are used for gas fees on their respective networks. ALGO I believe requires a small deposit to add assets to your wallet. XRP as well is required to establish a trust on the XRPL. A CBDC would essentially be an erc-20 running on a different ledger as far as I know, similar to what Circle is doing with USDC.

PayPal Holdings Inc. enables trading with Bitcoin, Ethereum, and IOTA with the company’s digital dollar wallet.
Users will be able to buy with cryptocurrencies using PayPal starting the first quarter of 2021.
A report by Reuters has revealed that PayPal Holdings Inc has entered the crypto market. According to the announcement, PayPal’s more than 346 million users will be able to buy, sell and hold Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, Bitcoin Cash, and other cryptocurrencies in the company’s digital US dollar wallet. The company has partnered with Paxos Trust to enable this service.

In addition, the report indicates that users will be able to use cryptocurrencies to shop at more than 26 million stores associated with its network. This function will be enabled at the beginning of 2021. The report indicates that PayPal expects to promote the adoption of “virtual currencies” and paves the way for the adoption of digital currencies issued by central banks and private companies. PayPal President and CEO Dan Schulman said:

We are working with central banks and thinking of all forms of digital currencies and how PayPal can play a role.
PayPal users in the U.S. will be able to buy, sell, and have cryptocurrencies in their digital wallets “over the next few weeks”. The company is expected to expand its services to Venmo and other countries in the first two quarters of next year. In addition to its millions of active users, PayPal has processed an estimated $222 billion in payments during 2020.

However, the report indicates that PayPal’s crypto operations for purchases will be arranged in fiat currency. This is due to the volatility of some cryptocurrencies. Therefore, merchants will not receive their payments in Bitcoin, Ethereum, or other cryptocurrencies offered by PayPal.

Right.

Thanks anon, but you’ve lost me a bit again. So if CBs set up their own coin on ALGO, they would be able to set up nodes with respect to their coin to keep all related fees?

I’m assuming they could also be able to centralise their new token (so only they can see transactions and they can unilaterally alter the supply up/down?

bros, I made a terrible mistake! I sold my ETH for XRP. Now everything is mooning, except my XRPies.
Maybe in 10 years I think, XRP will double in value, but for now seems to go lower and lower. I've lost my hope.
Despite the good news, it keeps dumping.
BabaCuck is a useless LARP.
I have more trust in QNT then XRP. Altough QNT seems kind of sketchy.
My boomer SP500 ETF performed better than Ripple :(

Wow this is really light fud

Who the fuck uses cuckpay anymore?
I wont have my buisness on there because they personally decide what you can and cant sell regardless of local or international legislation, freeze your account all the time, have no customer service, leave buisnesses open for scams such as chargeback scams, dont refund you sale fees for refunds, play hostage with your money, I could go on.
I would start on the customer experience but I think I've made my point.

Everyone had an ebay account, and paypal was the only secure way to pay.
But these days, what makes paypal better then coinbase for fuck sake? There's probably less KYC, oh and you are allowed to buy monero on there so theres that, will take less time to sign up and get started on coinbase even if you already have a paypal account.
