My understanding is that shares give you a right to $10 plus interest if the project falls through because the SPAC is basically a pile of money equivalent to $10 a share, looking for a business.
They can sometimes trade under $10 anyway if people are bailing, but it does seem to have a really limited downside getting in this early.
