He really wanted me to get access to full options after I practiced on Paper Money for a long time but we were denied. Well the closing bell rings at 4 and the market "closes" but not really. It keeps trading until 8pm in after hours. So the true closing price is what it closed at in the after hours. 29 bucks is long long gone. It will likely open back up (at 4 AM in the MORNING) at an even higher price than the after hours closing price. But the time opening bell rings at 9:30 it will be near peak. Might have a little more room but will most likely sell off a few minutes after the bell to capture people like you who don't know about this process.

I am getting into the market for the first time seriously and I am using both. Stocks are nice because they don't just expire and *poof* take your welfare cheque with them. Options are great because you get the gains of 100 shares of stock without nearly as much downside risk within your time frame. My AAPL stock is up like 5% but my AAPL LEAP is up 30%
