In my opinion wbtc is bullish for BTC and cements it's position as the reserve currency of crypto. This is especially true now that we have renBTC, tBTC, polkaBTC, etc.

I feel like any eth competitors will move to have a btc token so that quick access to liquidity can be obtained and similarly it will allow bitcoin to be a crypto hedge against going all in on any one smart contract platform. BTC is accepted everywhere and it's 21 million supply applies regardless of what form it's in.
