Today Monero is hardforking in order to upgrade the network with CLSAG. This will provide scalability improvements to the Monero network. CLSAG will reduce the typical transaction size by ~25% and improve typical verification performance by ~10%. Update your GUI/CLI wallets to v0.17.1 if you haven't yet already, and if you are using a lightwallet be sure to check for updates today.

All signs points to a healthy long term rise. There might be swings (like what we are experiencing now) but I think that is healthy. CLSAG is going to temporarily slow the network as people move over but I am expecting a big rebound and more hype.
