This is what pissed me off the most. I bought a simple seiko automatic because I needed a watch for work and the ticking of quartz movement fucked with my retard brain and I'd count seconds instead of what I should be. The piece of shit was off by 2.5 minutes a day. I got to liking the idea of watches and bought one for looks, a no name automatic with steel band and mother of pearl face on overstock and it took like a week for me to notice a discrepancy. I feel like paying more should get you more accuracy. What's even in a Rolex that's expensive? I like the mechanical side and its calming to watch the hand sweeping around. That calming effect becomes distressing when I realize how off it is and it makes me begin questioning things. It's an instrument used to sharpen my perception. Using a watch like that is technically a disability because you are getting fed and internalizing bad data
