I've been offered a degree in academic compsci or business information systems, which is likelier to get me a better salary?

can't go wrong with the meme school. i think their graduates also consistently draw a higher salary which you can check from the surveys. I can't vouch for long term salary growth though.

One of these will allow you to do the other, but not vice versa. Think about it.

Do you ever want to take a head/management role? go for the business
Do you want to go deep into the science /skill (academics, specalized work)? Go into compsci
Personally, I'd go for CS, I feel like the skills learned there are harder to acquire without a uni, whereas bussiness skills you can get in bussiness..
If you are lower IQ and/or love socializing then go business

also, go find out what''s it's like to be in each university. you should be able to get in touch with your seniors. they have very different learning environments.

smu gives a more all-rounded education while ntu is usually more technical.

think about what this anon says and what you want.

my poly diploma was in cybersec and I like technical stuff, but I don't know if I could hack it in NTU, i'd probably be rather marginal in such a competitive course

but looking at the SMU IS course, it seems to be as you described, i'm not a very sociable or well articulated person, but the higher salary and probably easier to excel gpa might be a better choice

each university offers you different paths to grow and either will be challenging. it's really more about the connections you make and what you do anyway. if you are gain acceptance into either course, you can't be too low in iq

Academic comp sci is better respected for software eng. jobs.
T. business major that works in software that gets shit on for having a business degree

>> No.23292001

Business Information Systems = IT
CompSci = Software Engineering
The latter is generally where the money lies for technical workers, the former is sufficient if you're going directly into management.
