Getting a government job is where its at. There's a big key difference between jobs in the free market and government jobs.

Say you're working at McDonald's, like OP, they really care to maximize profits and productivity. So if you're slacking or needlessly losing them money in some way (even something small like giving the customer too many napkins or ketchup packets) then they will be on your ass about it. Private businesses want to be efficient and that means more work for you.

Meanwhile, government jobs don't give a flying fuck about profits and productivity. Everybody in government jobs slack off and frivolously waste money and they never get called out for it. Why? Because government jobs have infinite funding and whether they do well or not, it's not like they'll ever go "out of business"
