Gold will a dip experience this week and probably following into the next, after Comey reveals fucking nothing (as there's literally nothing to reveal), and after conservatives in the UK squeak through a win. I'd say wait at least a weak to anyone taking a derivative position. I'd say any time would be good to buy physical gold.

just out of interest, since I don't invest in gold:

presumably gold will go down if conservatives win:
- because conservatives will be less inclined to spend and borrow
- and borrowing would effectively amount to printing more money
- which would mean the value of the pound would remain stable (less inflation)

but if labour win they would borrow a load of money thus devaluing the pound thus making it better to put your money in gold

sorry if retarded but does this make sense?

The only macroeconomics that influences gold price is the US' (and the inflation/ gold price relation applies there too). The reason why gold will likely dip slightly is because the market "expects" conservatives to win, if that doesn't happen it would be a shock for the market, and gold would likely rise.

well gold/silver has got shit returns in the past many years, vs 10,000% gains in random cryptos.
