It would be an interesting essay but it won't get you a good grade regardless of how well you write it. Honestly in college you're better off taking the safe route for essay topics and putting more effort into structuring and pacing it properly/having decent sources to back up your arguments.

This is actually a good point. You could discuss the superstitious nature of the board. I'm sure more than a few of us have bought switching purely because there was a compelling shillpost with dubs attached to it.
