dont feel too bad anon, but take this lesson. I always buy each month at a set amount of fiat, while putting aside a set amount for a perceived "dip" this way I dont miss out, but I also pay more some times, but those purchases DCA. Then on the surges down I have a pile of powder to throw at it, which was nice for that sept dip.

Fuggg I paid like 45 syrup bucks for a ASE tho... ironically... its only 4$ more then I would have paid in the sept dip. my monthly buys when I think the price is high sometimes end up being high premium stuff for my personal stash, as those tend to go up the least. pic related was bought during the aug high

Can I get a quick recap against the deflationist argument again? I think the super technical answer is that inflation/deflation is a measure of money supply not prices. Has the money supply gone up or down? (I don't actually know.)
Meanwhile if you're looking for "price" inflation and don't see it, you might not have looked at stock prices, t-bill prices, or housing prices.
Price inflation doesn't show up at the grocery store until after wages go up.
I don't know if I got that right. Correct me if I messed it up.

Just because they've succeeded the most doesn't turn me against them, far from it. Think of it this way, if Michael Jordan was dunking on you and your team, would you despise him for it, and say it's only cause he's black? No winner ever would. Sure I'd be pissed, but I'd admire him for it and try to learn his moves so I can win my own games. And it's what I've done to create wealth.

I wasn’t into PM’s in 2011, but I could imagine everyone thought silver was finally going to the moon forever once it hit $50, but nine years later it was at $12 an ounce. With increased M2 and decreased M2V I think we are going to get some interesting results. Because people still need to buy necessities but won't be buying much frivolous shit, I'd wager the price of necessities will increasingly rise due to increased M2, where the price of frivolous items will increasingly lower due to decreased M2V (for these types of goods).
In this case, precious metals and sound money are likely to follow the needs category.

Seems to me that if they really want price inflation, all they have to do is raise the minimum wage by maybe $1.25.
All the central bank activity has been limited to the upper tiers of the economy, mostly the finance industry. So, investment-grade assets are pumping. But everything else in the economy is kind of a mixed bag that averages out to some inflation but not much more than normal.
But if you jack up the price of a major production input, labor, you'll see the price of everything else go up pretty quick.

I will note that the Brandywine and Morrison Lake prospects both have "nuggety" type gold mineralization, meaning insanely high values of gold are unevenly distributed across the area of the ore body. This makes exploration more of a challange but not impossible. An example of this is Burns mountain near Wells BC. Ore samples with grades for gold up to 20,000 grams per tonne were recovered as recently as 1999 from Burns mountain but no serious work has happened in recent years as its too costly to drill the high grade narrow vein structures.

When the commodities are bullish, they are diminished greatly. we clearly simply have different opinions, but i stress that are only a handful of very good small cap opportunities that are still undervalued. No I think we have very similar opinions, we just have different approaches.
The primary risk/gain factor is indeed commodity prices. I diversify for this by investing into both pm miners and other metal miners. If pm's somehow don't go up, industry will pick up its pace and other metals will. There's also jurisdictional risk which I can avoid by investing into companies that have projects around the globe.
>only a handful of very good small cap opportunities that are still undervalued
I try to find companies that I think will either provide a good long-term return or companies that I think are undervalued, preferably both. In a bull market it doesn't really matter whether I bought a thousand or ten thousand shares at $0.3 or $0.5 but I see where you're coming from. Of course I try to find the cheapies when possible but I think it's important to have many investments. Like I said different approaches.

It's hard to make back premiums for modern bullion. But 2020 ASEs may hold or increase that premium.

Think morgan dollars. You buy them at a premium but you will always be able to sell them for a premium. Now think about a 2018 silver proof set or a 2014 random anniversary event coin. If you're paying a premium for these and you will never get that money back

its because they are assay bars, their small one off bars either from the first smelt of a batch of concentrates or from the last batch. Its whats left over. Assayer bars were also often silver or gold a specific miner would have made from ore they brought to a mine or mill to be processed. The assayer kept a 5% commission on the smelt and the miner got the rest.

You need to consider a few thing. The march crash was a mass selling of almost ALL asset classes as people rushed to cash while they figured out what the hell was going on and just how serious this corona meme is. It was one of these rare, very short term circumstances where fear overwhelms and no one wants to be invested in anything. Then came government stimulus into the equities market to keep investor confidence and stop market freefall. Next big sell off I doubt people will dump physical PM's but paper? certainly, its just another "stock" to people who have it. Spot price will go down, but premiums will just increase since spot is not the actual price for PM's. Soon after the paper is sold, the spot price will rise again.

Are you looking for the truth or just some talking points to regurgitate in defense of your new religion? There is nothing except deflation until Congress begins to ramp up serious deficit spending with major stimulus. Even most of the stimulus that went out only went towards making up the collapse in demand, and didn’t even come close to that.

Deflation is the natural consequence at this point. Without intervention, we would be heading into a deflationary spiral. That’s how the board is set up right now. The only thing that can create I flatiron would be direct lending by the Fed and/or stimulus on the scale of UBI. But the fact remains, that the inflationary environment pmg is looming for will not happen u til Congress acts. The Fed can do none of this on their own. Until Congress starts doing very big things, don’t expect inflation.

Meh. Bank reserves are not part of broad base money supply and that’s primarily what the Fed has been creating...reserves that are sitting locked away at the Fed doing jack squat. Every loan default and every loan payment that isn’t turned back around Into new lending is a decrease in the money supply. DC is dysfunctional to an unprecedented degree that I think the risk of fucking this up is truly there. They are not going to act sufficiently until we really feel the deflationary effects. Yes, systemic collapse is on the menu. If this were any other time, I’d say there’s no way it happens. But the current political climate is such that I am not optimistic they follow the path we would rationally think they would. Ultimately, they will likely do it, but there’s a lot of room for them to wait until later than many here would anticipate.

The other ones are all Northern. That's because I'm from over there, you might not have access to those shares. In short: Nordic Mining has a very promising 40y life of mine plan with over double the measured amount inferred -- they've already made a feasibility study and optimised it to reduce costs. Sotkamo Silver is a currently producing mine with at least 9Moz in the ground and likely a lot more to be explored around the mine. Norsk Hydro is like a jack of all trades, they have six different areas they work in, on the mining side they produce low-carbon footprint aluminum and cover the entire production process (bauxite -> aluminum products) and produce alumina for many different industries like energy, infrastructure and electronics for example.

All of these are currently undervalued in my opinion. Will add more Nordic Mining especially, if it goes down a bit more
