No, sorry. This is a medium to long term hold, just like any other index it’s designed to outperform the market over time.
You can make money off the swings in the token but my gut feel is that is never going to be huge without a lot of traditional money coming in, so no 50x or such but comfy residuals

Reminder that the power of Statera is not in the token, but in the ecosystem. It was not designed to be a hold and sell coin although that is of course an option if you wish.

I have 12k, I want more, but poor wagecuck, still stacking weekly. I'm still confused about the index part of STA. So one STA is like a portion of the different cryptos in the fund? Or is it only like that if you're pooling? I'm kinda retarded, not gonna lie. But the pooling doesn't make sense to me either. I haven't done it yet, it was too hard to figure out and I think I have to have all the tokens in it or pay transaction fees out the ass if I do it on balancer. So when I'm pooled, I can lose my STA? But it would be balanced out by the ETH/whatever in fees returned? I've watched all the videos and read the white paper, and I feel like it's almost within reach of my understanding

I'll help you out. I'm the one who wrote the tldr whitepaper but don't have the picture myself so I'll write it again.

First off, STA token + equal amount of ETH in USD value = Detla token

This Delta token is put into the liquidity pool. The other tokens in for example the Phoenix pool are SNX LINK BTC and pure ETH (remember we already have some ETH in the Delta token which consists of 50% STA 50% ETH)

Due to STA being involved in the pool it activates the autobalancer. The balancer makes sure that if price of one token for example LINK goes up too much in comparison to the other tokens, it will sell some of that LINK to buy the others that haven't gone up yet. If price of LINK went down, it will have to sell other cryptos to buy the dip on LINK. This ensures a stable price growth. (like an INDEX FUND)

Balancer isn't the only thing that gets activated when STA is invoolved in a pool. It also activates Sthanos. Sthanos will burn 1% of STA whenever STA is sold or bought or even balanced by the balancer. This causes STA supply to drop over time and causes deflation. If demand stays the same or increases, deflation forces price to go up.

Yes, in a sense you can "lose" STA when pooled. Consider this, you pool the bottom, STA moons, then the balancer has to balance the pool which means it sells some of the STA mooning every 15 minutes. This is called impermanent loss, but longterm your pooling gains will be bigger than the impermanent loss. You aren't really losing money, just balancer swapping it over to other cryptos.

Then the usual, volume is counted for all tokens in the pool, meaning that even if STA has no volume, doesn't matter because SNX LINK ETH BTC surely has.

Burning causes supply to drop, if fudders were right and price of STA really dropped, you could actually buy the tokens and run the pool yourself, the balancer would create the volume for you. That's why it's such a safe bet.

Thanks for this wall of text, fren. It has helped me understand. If I'm pooling, I'm providing liquidity, so if someone buys up a shit load of STA, the price will rise, balancer will sell some to keep the ratios the same. So I might lose some of the STA, but I'll have some extra ETH (in the case of Delta token anyway). Also pooling gets you a percentage of the daily volume in fees corresponding to your STA pooled stack size. Is everything I have stated a correct interpretation?

You could have changed your life by swinging BTC, ETH, LINK before, during, after the Corona crash, pumping & dumping ESH+GHOST, swinging STA(the mother of all swings) and then using a bot to create 10,000 ETH addresses and rug pulls, stealing all the liquidity from those retarded "proof of liquidity" tokens back in early June and finally betting on AMPL, YFI, their clones and then UNI.

You could had made 100M USD out of nothing but altcoins and then swing those through the big boys like ETH, LINK, UNI. UNI went from 1$, 2.5$ to 8.77$ before crashing. Only time you ever saw a 300%-800% on a high liquidity coin was during the Corona crash.
