Isn’t everything on chain and hence auditable? Unless you buy crypto without any KYC via something like a bitcoin atm or a p2p, or somehow kill the trail with monero, I’m fairly sure you’d get caught if you tried not to pay your taxes. A decentralized exchange sounds like a great idea, especially after the Kucoin hack. I’d rather trade via a wallet and keep control over my own keys.

Regs should put an end to this kind of shit. I have a feeling even if uniswap doesn't survive, the model of using wallets to trade directly and on chain will, no matter what governments actually do. They'd just drive DEXs underground if they did a flat out ban, making it harder to track while giving less control and influence over DEXs vs if they have ppl trade on uniswap or a few big DEXs.

I mean...DEXs will become more or less regulated in that case like centralized exchanges. In order to survive, Uniswap will submit to the SEC along with other DEXs. Where else would people go though? Binance is gonna end up being KYC too. I still think DEXs still will give better access to certain assets, and at least don't require me to send shit between my wallets and a centralized exchange just to trade. I think we're gonna be strong armed into paying our taxes, and I've been tracking all my shit accordingly. In fact, blockchain will end up being worse for financial privacy vs just cash.

Question about farming UNI: if I pool ETH/wBTC, receive pooling tokens and deposit them to get UNI, do I still get the 0,3% from pooling?

Because when I withdrew my pooling tokens and checked Uniswap analytics, there were no pooling gains from ETH/wBTC
