aren't these just frontrunning bots? all the data you need to do it is in the eth mempool and you can just watch for a pending transaction with a large enough transfer and slippage setting that you make more eth than it costs to do this by eating up all of their slippage leeway, submit your own buy transaction with a higher gas price and the maximum amount of eth to not slip higher than their limit, then submit a sell transaction with a gas price such that gets it processed after the targets.

no, its triangular arbitrage that's occurring because uniswap has forced routing through certain pairs while the optimal routing is ignored

There's also frontrunning going on.
Uniswap has a minimum received transaction amount which is 99.5% that of which they estimate.
If you make a large transaction that has a low fee and doesnt get settled in the first block right away, bots will notice your transaction being stuck and will swoop in and frontrun your order to the magnitude that you will lose that 0.5% and then sell back netting 0.5% of your order.
I dont know how to get rid of this except making the minimum transaction amount higher before the transactions get reverted.
