How can an ERC-20 token be worth more than the chain it resides on?

>> No.23113230

This is an excellent question, anon. The fact of the matter is that ultimately any token is worth what people are willing to pay for it. But it does seem fundamentally illogical.

USDT on tron doesn't make tron inherently more valuable. Though it is extremely unlikely that any individual ERC will ever flip ETH

It’s different because an ERC token is essentially a colored ETH token. There cannot be more than the network.

You should be taking the dev to Kleros court for this wrongful prices. Good day Sir.

>Holy fuck, you are a special kind of retarded.
But it's literally a copied form of an ERC-20 token that has something updated. Original token can be revised, and will be.

Lmfao. All of this will be dinosaur age shit soon. Monero is booming.

No you retards, the critical point is that if the situation arrives where a token gets significantly more valuable than ETH, it then becomes profitable and the economically correct thing to do to attack the network and basically rigging the token by 51%ing for example. Thats because it costs less to 51% and get a fat double spend in than to truthfully mine in the network.

>> No.23117893

>>23117741
lol you are technologically illiterate. You come into crypto, hear a few buzzwords like “51% attack” and think you know something about anything. I fucking hate this “space” so much.

>> No.23117963

>>23117893
Simple economics. Either you can cheaply manip the network and make infinite money or the token dumps at least below the worth of the network.
