Got into crypto in 2016 and heres my experience in a nutshell:

>got ripped off of JUST'd by total shitcoin scams more than 30 times
>only made 6 good bets that really paid off on solid projects
>be current year with DeFi farming scams been rugged now 4 times finally gave up on anything that isnt locked liquidity like CORE

what is your batting avg? i guess im mostly a fucking loser

opened /biz/ for the first time this morning and am now a millionaire, you must be really dumb

i've only invested in about 20 projects but i've only lost on 6 of them, so i'd say i'm doing pretty good. trick is to set limits, like no buying in after 50 cents, selling after 5 dollars, etc. Doesn't matter if it looks good or if in retrospect you could've gotten more, better safe than sorry.

Any tips on how I can be less of a gullible idiot?

If threads are on biz read who is hyping up the coin, if it's some obvious non 4channer dip, people who use punctuation or KEK or reddit spacing

>he doesnt bet
bet

>bet
bet

the way i look at it now is i'd rather lose my money on bad bets than waste it entirely on buying stupid shit i just dont need.
all a man really needs is a roof over his head, a car, and a good PC and laptop with a smart phone.
outside of those very specific things besides clothing and the necessities theres just really nothing im interested on rly spending money on.
and i know if i just leave my money sitting in a bank account it fucking does nothing.
so i bet. sure ive lost a lot but ive also gained a lot too and its paid off in the end.

my latest gamble is CORE and i bet $55k on LP tokens and i should ROI in 6 months maybe sooner.
im so used to losing and gaining money now that it just doesnt really effect me like it used to in the beginning.
because i bet (not like a total degenerate) it gives me entertainment in that its something new i have to pay attention to seeing if its a loser or a winner as it progresses.

and believe it or not im actually happy living like this.
sure i wage and pay my bills but everything else i make bets with.
cant stress how fucking important it is to stop buying shit (You) dont need and just bet.
especially if you are younger. the sooner you get into investing the better.

this guy is right the paid marketers that shill here are pretty obvious since they dont know the chan culture.
pajeets all use the same buzzwords so its easy to avoid those bullets and their projects always look like they took less than 5hrs to make anyways.

stupid shit like FunFair and the like are where ive made bad bets.
after not selling at a loss several times i know better now that when something stops dropping fast like a rock you sell that shit and take whats left otherwise its going to be a lot fucking less especially in crypto.

thats my 2 cents fellas. thanks for being my therapists today.

Why didn't you just buy BTC and hold like a normal person?

>> No.23111775

i always thought i was priced out since it was so expensive.
ive corrected that thinking with things like CORE so ive grown a lot as a trader since then.
learning mostly from my mistakes and what other anons post here is how ive grown in crypto over the years.
crypto twitter is just as dangerous as /biz/ and theres a lot of assholes really trying to steal your money in this game.
but thats just life either way you look at it.

i do hold 1 BTC now and will most likely never sell it.
im more of an ETH man since its building for enterprises if 2.0 ever goes live (big IF at this fucking point fuck the money skelly)
one of the big ones i was early on thanks to biz autism was LINK so i'll always be grateful for autists here about that one. still never selling tho.

Thing with defi is it’s the complete opposite of normal crypto, I’ve lost a lot of money realising I can’t marry my bags. Too used to holding.

In the defi game you may be in and out within 10 minutes.

quality sincere post and ive seen a similar sentiment when it comes to DeFi
all i want is to ROI and then buy back the bags i sold to enter into the position and just let my position ride for however long it remains profitable
the opportunity cost and potential long term passive gains were too attractive for me to pass up
i guess thats what gets most ppl when it comes to these defi yield farming products or "experiments'
